Florence

Today we walked around the city in the morning then went to get lunch at shake cafe and they have the best salads! Then we had a wine tour! It lasted about 5 hours and we went to 2 different wineries and a castle and saw such a pretty sunset at the castle location. Italy is well known for their wine and the Tuscany region has been producing wine for 2500 years. It was a 45 min drive and on the way there was an American cemetery with the American flag from WW1, which was cool to see. Then at the first winery we tried about 4 or 5 different wines and they gave us cheese, meat and bread and we also tried the balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil that they make there with the food. All so good and it is available to purchase there or you can get some sent home but it was a 3 item minimum limit to do so. We met these ladies from the US that we sat by and they were a lot of fun and love their wine! The next winery she showed us where they make their wine and then we tried about 4 there as well but they only produce red wine. At this place we sat by a couple from Pittsburgh and they told us some stuff we should do in our next locations. Then once we got back to Florence we went to this pizza shop that so many people said we had to try since we were in Florence and it was called gusta pizza. I got a margarita one and it was very good! It was thinner and all their food is lighter so it’s easier to eat. The picture of it doesn’t look like the most amazing thing but it tasted a lot better than what the picture shows. Also there’s a picture of that little car and you see them around here pretty often and I can’t help but laugh every time I see one so I had to take pictures!!
