Florence

Today we went to the Piazzale Michelangelo which is like a hill you have to climb to get to the up to see the view of the whole city. We were going to do this the first day but it was rainy and gloomy and you wouldn’t be able to see the view so good thing it was sunny out today! You have to hike up this steep hill and lots of stairs and I told myself if I can’t do the incline I can get up these :) but the view at the top was sooo cool! It is so beautiful here, especially by the river! We walked the bridge that has jewelry shops along the whole thing and it’s all gold and silver and lots of money 😳 the ring I liked was 300 euro... then walked through a couple more markets, they are everywhere here. Then since lunch yesterday was so bomb we went back to the same place. Our train was at 5pm to go to Venice and we arrived in Venice at 7pm so a 2 hour ride. Venice is more of like an island attached on the outside of Italy so we are excited to experience that! When we arrived to that train station we had to walk a mile to our Airbnb and the city is literally built on water, meaning there’s an insane amount of bridges you have to walk over, like around every other corner. Super pretty but not the most convenient when you have a suitcase that weighs over 50 pounds to haul up and down the stairs of the bridges 😅 cars aren’t really a thing here because it’s a lot of water and the roads are super tiny, like soke are not even wide enough for 3 people to walk next to each other. Then once we made it to our Airbnb there was no elevator so had to haul it up 54 more stairs :) but then we came in and it’s such a cute and big apartment! We each get our own twin bed and she has provided us with so many snacks and breakfast stuff it is great! The first picture was only the first bridge we had to take our luggage’s up and down those stairs haha
