Bringing in the New Year with friends! Tiff invited Stewart to introduce him to Kim but it didn’t go anywhere. The kids made it to Midnight for the first time!

Happy birthday to my precious Margaret! Her baby sister was due any day so we had a family supper and birthday cake. She was excited with her puzzle. Age 2- Margaret is a true treasure. She brings joy to everyone she meets. She loves fancy Nancy, coloring and riding in her pink push car. Her best friends are Ray and nursery friends.

The sign you’re holding is actually a bag I got from dollar tree. Ray was so excited for another baby! Margaret was too little to understand.

We sold the Cadillac to make room for baby girl!

When doctors away the Daddy’s will play!

-I was surprised you were a girl. I really thought it was a boy. The little string test had showed a boy.

My cravings: Blueberries. I ate so many that my Pee was red and I was scared something was wrong with me. Then I remembered the blueberries.

Ray came with me this day to check on his baby sister! He is so excited.

A guy who works at the meat farm purchased the car. He said he drove it to the mountains the first weekend. We paid a guy Charly went to school with to clean it up for us for around $200. He did an amazing job and it looked like a new car.

Margaret is always in the refrigerator. She drinks a lot and wants her cup with her at all times. She especially loves juice and chocolate milk.

Sas loves to color and read! This table has been nice for you to be able to sit and play while I clean dishes

Our hospital room was so tiny. I could touch the sink from my bed. If we linked arms we probably could’ve touched both sides of the room.

I went to the doctor the day before you were due. Unfortunately, they told me I was not progressing much yet and it would probably be a few more days. I was scheduled to be induced next week if you had not come. I felt very bad and took a nap in the back of the car while mama got her nails done. I continued to feel worse and worse. I had Nana Kathleen on standby to come when needed. She got to our house around 10 PM and we headed to the hospital. I went to triage and they kept me. My nurse was a friend of Tiffany’s. Reese was the hardest of all of my deliveries. I had pushed for over an hour when Carolyn my midwife suggested that we may need to consider other options. I had her and the nurses pray and after a few more pushes she turned and came out. When I saw her a few weeks later she said, ‘We prayed that baby out didn’t we?’ \240At one point while pushing I said, y’all are praying to Jesus aren’t you?! You were delivered first thing in the morning. My parents were surprised when I called and said, ‘Are y’all ready to meet your granddaughter?’ Your siblings were born in the same room but they sent me to the tiniest room to have you. On the ride home they had given me pain killers. I took them without eating and was pretty high by the time we got home. I laughed uncontrollably about mice l, hallucinated and cried about nothing. It was a miserable 2 to 3 hours until the medicine wore off.

First days..

Margaret came down with the flu shortly after returning home. She had been holding Reese the night before for probably an hour. I was so worried that she would catch it. I kept a mask on just Incase I had it.

I spent 2-3 days with this mask on

Margaret came to me with half of a pill. I didn’t know if she had eaten the other half or if it was one that Charly had cut. We quickly went to the ER. Thankfully she had not and was fine!

Happy birthday to ma! I love going to ma’s house. She always has candy for us. – Ray Ma loves me. – Margaret \240We brought supper to Ma’s house and ate around the dining room table. Charly turns 34

We purchased Commercial Truck.

On an unseasonably warm day in February Hilda Everett was born on fifth Street in Washington at her childhood home. Dr. Swindell came in to assist with the delivery and her mother commented that it was warm enough to roll your sleeves up.

She was born on February 1, 1927, at a time when sliced bread was just being created along with jukeboxes and early televisions. her father chose to name her after her mother and said he wouldn’t even consider other names. At her birth he said he wouldn’t trade $1000 for her being a girl.

Her first memory was at five years old at the home she was born in. Her daddy would stop at the driveway and let her ride on the running board to the backyard. She also recalls her neighbor Lucille Jackson getting a splinter in her behind. ’ Mrs.Martha had her turned upside down in a swing trying to get it out and Lucille was just a squalling!’

Time went on and she was about 17 years old sitting in algebra class at Washington high school when in came Wallace Respess. \240‘I thought he was just about the best looking boy I had ever seen !’

Years later at first Christian Church in Washington on second street he became her husband. They were married alongside their friends Cameron and Doris Pfeil on Christmas! They took their honeymoon to pilot Mountain.

It is said that the most important work you will do will be within the walls of your own home. Mrs. Hilda raised four children one of which nicknamed her greasy because her nose was always greasy. She got tired of sitting in that house one day and decided to drive to a friends. Only trouble was she didn’t know how to drive. When she made it there she couldn’t stop and just kept riding around in circles. She finally kept going and stopped in the bushes at home. That wasn’t the only fun car ride. Once she took her 64 Ford and drove Margaret Harris to the hospital to have her baby but she had the child right in the car on the way there. (They traded the car soon after.)

Mr. Keith recalls that she always made a birthday cake for her children. They especially loved her chocolate covered peanut butter balls. She would hide them in the piano to keep everyone out of them.

‘Nannie’ is her title these days. She is in her 90’s but still able to live at home. She especially enjoys whenever we go to visit.
