Eurostar from London to Brussels. After checking into Atlas Hotel for 2 nights we enjoyed a short walkabout.

The Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries is an ensemble of three glazed shopping arcades, consisting of the King’s Gallery, the Queen’s Gallery and the Prince’s Gallery.

Checked in to Lucca Hotel, Brugge for 2 nights. Breakfast room in our 14th Century hotel.

47 Kms for our first day of riding. Headwinds all day, 16-24 Kms/hr. Gusts up to 39 Kms/hr. 7-14C, cloudy with sunny periods.

Middelburg

Good breakfast at our hotel. Ready to set out. Not raining at the moment, but bundled up.

Took a look inside.

Sharing the bicycle path.

Ferry between Breskens and Vlissingen. We are very wet & cold. Fortunately we could get a hot coffee!

Hoods up for the rain. Cold hands & feet.

Off the ferry. Less than 9 Kms to Middelburg.

The bridge has opened up for the boats to pass through.

After warming up in our hotel room we set off to explore Middelburg.

Checked into De Bij Hotel in Middelburg. Wet and cold from the ride. Hot shower & coffee.

47 Kms today, plus 27 minutes on the ferry. Some rain, headwinds & side winds, 7-10C. Much colder with windchill.

Lange Jan (Church tower in Middelburg)

(Ascension Day - Public holiday) Large market is taking place today and tomorrow (May 14–15) at the Markt in the center of the city.

Difficult cycling especially sidewinds. Challenging at times to remain upright.

Cute little town of Goedereede.

Strong winds—headwind & sidewinds. Crossing 4 causeways totalling 14 Kms of difficult cycling.

We are very cold arriving at our Beach Hotel! 68 Kms today. Rain, wind & cold!
