Ran skiffs out to watch bear

We saw a couple of young bears playing but ran away before we could get close

2:30 pm - second group arrives in the seaplane

Ship safety orientation

Some dinner prep and then back out for low tide bear viewing

We saw a very large grizzly bear resting and eventually got up, took a wicked long pee and then caught and ate 3 fish before laying down for some stretching and lower abdomen crunches

Joanie and I were part of the dinner prep crew and we BBQ’s burgers, Braun’s, and dogs to go with baked beans and macaroni salad

6:30 - pulled up anchor at Kukak bay but I was still in bed

8:00 - breakfast and then to Hallo bay for some more bear watching where we saw a mama and 3 cubs

We then went to Ninagiak island to explore the shore and take some pictures

Selfies in front of glaciers ...

We have had lunch duty - ham and/or cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, beans, chips and Steve’s macaroni salad

Now a relaxing cruise to Amalik Bay rest of the day and bear watch \240in Geographic Harbor

kayaking,

evening fishing/possible move to Hidden (tides)

Yesterday while we were out bear watching, we hit a rock and damaged the prop so Scott talked into recontouring it. See below for finished product

This morning, we had waffles and pancakes and it was raining pretty heavy but then we saw a couple of bears playing in the water and we forgot all about the rain. We saw all kinds of bear activity:

- they were playing in the water

- some territorial issues

- boulder moving and traversing

- even setting a table and sitting down to eat

On our way to Amalie Harbor
