Stay tuned.
Yeah I actually get to go on this trip. Finally got medical clearance yesterday afternoon after panicking. Thank you Jeanie for putting up with my rants.
Clearance granted. Off to the airport.
Arrived in Buenos Aires to long lines at passport control. \240Have a tour scheduled this afternoon depending upon time I get to hotel. \240Stay tuned.
Arrived at Hilton Buenas Aires and had breakfast then planning a short nap before my tour this afternoon.
Ok it’s 88 degrees here. I’m heading to ATM because apparently Argentina Pesos are worth much and even the hotel won’t exchange US dollars for them or maybe they think it’s the other way around. It’s $1 equals approximately $1,446 pesos. Off to buy a lot of worthless money.
Well couldn’t find an ATM but realized a 3 hour walking tour in 88 degree weather is not what I want to do. I’ll do that tour another day. Did enjoy a walk along the inlet back to the hotel.
Everything in this area has a Paris feel
Old equipment becomes art
Of course I could find the Gelato shop but no luck on ATM.
Today is a 5 hour tour of Buenos Aires and tonight is Tango show. Stay tuned.
There are 48 neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. They built the canal then abandoned it. The neighborhood I’m staying in, Puerto Maurita, \240all the streets are named after women. \240The widest river in the world is in Argentina.

There is an avenue that has 22 lanes. Yet, like Egypt if there is a street that is one lane, they will make it 2 or 3 lanes. Stop signs are also optional to pay attention to.

Attorneys are a dime a dozen in Argentina. Anybody can go to law school for free and doesn’t matter how long it takes one to get through school. Our tour guide is an attorney and makes more money as a tour guide.
Went to Tango show last night. Great show, great food.
Won’t be doing food tour today. Have to be downstairs ready for flight at 3:10 am. Just hanging out and resting today.
After a 3 am flight to Ushaia, we finally landed and are headed to ship.

Getting ready to step foot on Antarctica. Wait for it.
Yes it was cold. 3 pairs of pants and 3 coats.
I can also say I swam in the waters of Antarctica as I stepped out of boat and there was nothing under the water to step onto.
Weather has turned for the worst. Kayakers and guests along with expedition team have been rescued by zodiacs as they could not get back to ship.

Today we are heading back to Ushaia. I’ll try to post the video I talked about yesterday. I did not take it. A friend of mine did but doesn’t mind it being shared.
Today we rounded Cape Horn. We should arrive in Ushaia this evening then head home tomorrow.
Today headed to Tierra Del Fuego National Park before heading to the airport. The trip started with rain but has cleared up.
Got home this morning.
