Arrived in Munich last night via Frankfurt. After a good breakfast at our hotel we set out to explore the sites.

Met up with Rich’s cousin Chrissie who lives in Munich. Had a lovely visit.

Bregenz

Left our hotel after breakfast to catch the train for Lindau.

Shortly we are in Austria.

Arrived at the bike rental shop where Manuel set us up. No ID, no deposit, cash, €15 a day for each bike with panniers, helmet & lock. Just ‘bring bikes back in 6 days’ He was also kind enough to store our luggage for free.

Ready to set off on our ride around Lake Constance. The lake borders Germany, Austria & Switzerland. Cycle path is 273 kms.

Looked around Lindau.

Handy bike tools for minor adjustments. We soon arrive at our first destination just past Bregenz in Austria. Short afternoon ride 19 kms.

Good breakfast at our hotel. Typical; \240juice, yogurt, fruit, cereal, scrambled aggs, bacon or sausages, buns, bread, cheeses, cold cuts, cucumber, tomatoes, \240preserves & coffee.

Lots of climbing to get here. Much more to come!

Munich

Getting an early start on our short, last cycling day. Will ride back to Lindau and return rented bikes. 13C.

On the train to Vienna where we will

spend the night before an early flight

to Podgorica, Montenegro.

Raining heavily in Salzburg and continued for the six hours we will spend here.

Beer 30 on the train. Looking forward to meeting up with Judy & Holly tomorrow. It has been a wonderful adventure and looking forward to our next adventure in Montenegro & Albania.
