Thursday

We rented a car for the day since it was only $20 more than a Lyft and gave Rob enough credit for a free day through National 😊. Rob picked up the boys a bit early from school and brought them home. Colin walked Rex and then we left for the airport for our 6:10 flight to Orlando!

The flight was on time and the whole trip to Orlando was quick and easy! We went straight to V Pizza (which was very close to the Hyatt Place we are staying at) and got there before 9:00. After a quick dinner, we checked in, cleaned up, and hit the hay!

Friday

We got up around 7:00 am and Rob and I walked to get coffee at Bakery 1908 at 8:00.

We headed to Typhoon Lagoon and got there at 9:45 (15 mins before it opened). It was BUSY and we were glad we got there early. We got in most of the rides we wanted to do I. The first 2 hours. (We went on the Banana, Coconut, and Pineapple slides on Crushing Gusher, the family raft ride, all 3 Storm Sliders, the boys went on the 3 fast slides, the lazy River and the wave pool).

We left around 1:30 and went to Freddys for lunch. Then we swung by the outlet mall and popped into the Disney store and got the Santa from Nightmare Before Christmas 🎅

Then we came back to the room to get cleaned up and take a rest 😊

We went back to Typhoon Lagoon around 5:30. It was WONDERFUL! The crowds had cleared out and it was a gorgeous time of night. Golden Hour, as we like to call it 😊. We were able to do a few of the slides that we hadn’t done earlier that day and enjoyed the wave pool and the lazy river again. \240We left when the park closed at 8 PM and got food from Chick-fil-A and MOD pizza. \240It was a great day!

Saturday- First day!

Clark was not happy to be up early (8:00 am wasn’t THAT early 😜)

At Terminal 18 in Fort Lauderdale- ready to board!

We got the boys up around 7:30 and after having breakfast at the hotel (Hyatt Place Orlando/Lake Buena Vista) we checked out and hit Dutch Brothers on our way to Fort Lauderdale! It was a smooth 3 Hour drive down there, and Rob dropped us off and then took the rental car back to the Fort Lauderdale airport. He caught a Lyft to the cruise terminal and then we got on the boat right around 1:30! \240We explored the ship, got lunch at the buffet, Clark and I went on the waterslide, Colin found a hidey-hole to play his Marvel card game (which was very hard to find when Clark and I were looking for him!)

Can you spot the Colin?

Clark’s face after looking for his brother for 30 minutes just to find him in a very random spot right by our room 😜

Rob “nested”, and then we went to dinner! Dinner was great and we really liked our waiters. Since we had an “anytime” dining reservation, we requested a specific time to be at their table for the rest of the cruise 😊. After dinner, Colin went up to the room and we took Clark to the “teen hangout”. They were playing dodgeball, and we were cracking up because when Clark got onto the basketball court to play dodgeball, he started stretching and was taking it VERY seriously 😜🥰. We went to bed around 10:30. We did watch a few minutes of the Ewoks cartoon, and that was both cringy and memorable. 😜

Day 2 - Sunday

Rob was up before all of us and worked out 😍 I got up around 8 AM and joined Rob in the solarium for brunch. (Unfortunately, the bed situation was not great, so we gave the boys the main bed (which broke up into two full beds) and we took the “pull out couch”. It was as hard as a rock and threw off my neck/back where I woke up in pain. It got better as the trip went on, but the sleeping situation was the worst part of the cruise).

About an hour later Colin joined us and then Clark. After breakfast, the boys all went and zip lining! (I stayed back because I was wearing a dress and someone needed a hold all of their stuff 😊). We explored the Boardwalk area on Deck 6. \240We did Disney trivia and although we did well, we did not win. \240They did have interesting questions like which princess has the most costume changes in her movie (Tiana) name as many dalmatians as you can in 101 Dalmatians. (besides Perdita and Pongo, there was Pepper, Rolly , Lucky, Freckles and a few others). We took the abyss slide as a family. Before dinner, we watched Colin rock climb and he did awesome! Dinner was great (Jayson and Jarold are wonderful).

Day 3 - Monday

Another day at sea! We all went to breakfast in the main dining hall as a family around 8:30. Then we headed down to the watch raffle but unfortunately did not win. \240Then we played a game of codenames before Rob and and Colin went to LOTR trivia and Clark went to the kids area. I went to the hot tub to try to help my neck feel better after my two nights of bad sleep because of the hard sofa cushions we are sleeping on.

Day 5 - Wednesday

Poor Rob was up at 4 AM because of the bad sleeping situation (he was sharing the hard couch with Clark). He enjoyed his time reading his book under the moonlight and talking with somebody at the Jacuzzi a little before 6 AM. 😜. I was up around 6:30 and met him in the solarium and we had breakfast together. \240We played a game of wingspan and then woke the kids up around 8:30. We docked in Aruba at 7:30 AM, but we weren’t in a rush to get off the boat. After boys had breakfast, we got off of the boat around 9:30. We walked a decent distance to \240Surfside Beach and enjoyed hanging out in the shallow parts of the ocean. We walked back to the ship around 2:00 and had a late lunch after getting cleaned up. Rob took a little rest while the boys and I ate. Then we played a game of

Battle Goats and Code Names in the hide-hole that Colin found on the 6th floor by our room 😊. Then Rob and I got ready to go to our 5:30 Chef’s Table Dinner! It was a 5 course menu with wine pairing and was very tasty! After dinner we met the boys at the ventriloquist show (they had dinner by themselves at the main dining room). The show was pretty good. After that (around 9:00) Clark met up with Joseph and hit the kids area and Colin, Rob and I watched Venom - The Last Dance. It was so bad but fun to watch outside on the big screen. We went to bed around 11:00. It was a good day!

Day 6 - Thursday

Rob and I were up by 5:30 am so we put on our bathing suits and took a dip in the hot tub in the solarium! We saw the sun rise and played a game of pass and play Wingspan afterwards. I went down for my spa appointment at 7:30 and Rob went to the gym (my sexy man). I got a massage to help the pain in my neck/shoulder. It was a 75 min hot stone massage and it was wonderful! After my massage, I checked in on the boys, who were just getting up at 9:45 am 😊 We met Rob for breakfast and then walked a lap around deck 5’s walking track. Then we came back to the room, Rob and I got our dirty laundry ready to be washed (they gave us a free wash because of our bed situation) \240and then we took a rest while the boys played their games in the secret area that Colin found.

We docked in Port Cabo Rojo in the Dominican Republic. It was interesting! We walked to a beach and found starfish in the ocean!

Day 7 \240- Friday

Rob and I got up around 7:00 am and enjoyed the hot tub again and then started a game of Terraforming Mars. We got the boys up around 8:30 and got breakfast. We had a 10:30 reservation for ice skating and \240we had a great time!

Monday- Memorial Day and travel day home

We got up around 6:30 and were on the road by 7:15. The airport was surprisingly not busy!
