Billl Utter Ford in Denton Texas

I told Lisa that we were \240going to drive to Denton Texas and I was going to buy her this truck. Lisa said…OK!

When we got there and drove the truck…it drove really wonky because of the lift and huge wheels. I was in love but Lisa thought the ride was too rough…and she was right of course.

Vanguard GMC of Carrollton

This is where it all started.… When we found Sandy and the real adventure began.

Demarlo was our salesman and he was great. He told us about his 19 tailed baby boy named U'nique and his wife Emily. I ended up giving him my 100 Bible verses to memorize book and a multipurpose pocket knife plier tool with the case. He was pretty excited about the knife. He said… "This is a great day!"I told him as a new dad he would definitely need God's wisdom… That's the 100 versus book and he would have to learn how to fix things… Thus the multitool pocket knife.

Boondocked at Lisa's favorite little walking park in Bentonville… Didn't get much sleep… I slept in the back of the pick up bed for part of the night.

Ballard's Campground, Store & RV Park

Ballards RV park in Carthage MO

This was our first official stay in the RV. We pulled in about 3 AM and then our best to just quietly get settled without making too much noise. It was just a quick pull in sleep for a few hours and then hit the road again. They still charged us $50 for a full stay even though we only slept there for about 5 hours and got on our way.

6
Rustic Trails RV Park

Well… We are only two days into our RV adventure/experiment and we have already encountered an issue with a faulty tankless water heater. We are staying at lot 342 at the rustic trails (trials) as it said on the app by accident. Our lot is a very nice spot with a very large tree to our left providing some much-needed shade for the truck and the RV. Our kitchen overlooks a small what they are calling a lake but is more like a frog pond.

We have spent the morning stabilizing the RV and trying to troubleshoot the issue with our water heater. We also did our first flush of the black and gray tanks… Lisa use the hose through the window to spray out while I flushed both tanks.

Now we are sitting in the cool of our RV and finding accessories and contemplating our next move… Which unfortunately is taking this back to the shop and the service center so they can replace the water heater. Welcome to RV life.

I went over and met our neighbors… Ron and Brenda who have been RVing since 1999. We RV that they were in is only two years old.

Wade's RV Supercenter of Joplin

Wades RV supercenter Joplin Missouri

Had to drive back to Joplin where we bought the RV so that they could replace the water heater because we realized in Phillipsburg near Lebanon that it wasn't working and that it was spewing water everywhere. The guys at Wade's RV agreed to just completely replace the water heater… So we got $1000 water heater installed but we had to drive back from Phillipsburg to do it.

8
Branson Lakeside RV Park

With the minor setback of discovering our water heater was pouring out water in places that it shouldn't have been… We had to drive all the way back to Joplin to have weights RV superstore install a new water heater for us. We got there about noon and Richard had us In-N-Out and less than an hour with a brand new water heater and everything.

We drove all over Branson by the Branson Landing trying to find an RV park to stay at for the night. My navigator had the wrong coordinates typed in… The wrong state… The place we were trying to get to Oklahoma rather than Missouri… Oops.… Probably due to lack of sleep because usually she's pretty sharp with our directions.

We found a campsite called Taneycomo RV... we called the lady in the office after hours and she said they had one pull through 30 amp site and we could borrow their 50 amp converter and so we decided to check it out. after driving long way through some windy back roads… We actually missed the turn because it was labeled incorrectly so I had to back the trailer up in the middle of the street Lisa directed me and made sure no cars were coming so that was exciting.

When we got to the lot we were seeking… A woman came out to meet us and led us to the pull through site number 33… We were already a little leery because of the number.… When we got there there was a little boy about five years old crouched down throwing rocks right next to our site and Lisa and I looked at each other wide eyed and immediately knew… There was no way we were staying at this place… It was a no go for sure.

We got out of there as quickly as we possibly could immediately tried to find another place. On the way out as we cross the bridge there was an RV park right on the lake Branson Lakeside RV park so we pulled in and decided to check it out. This was about 7 PM. We pulled in by the dump station and I got my Onewheel out and went to investigate to see if if there were any open spaces. Lo and behold… I found lot 106 right on the lake with no one there. I asked the RV neighbor who is out what he knew about the spot and he said that someone had been there the previous night and pulled out this morning. I went back and grabbed our RV and we pulled in and set up camp.

We used to call ourselves the breath breakfast \240bandits but we may have to change our name to either RV bandits or Lakeside freeloaders… Because we pulled in like we own the place and hooked up and stayed for two days hopefully… As I'm writing this it's the first night and day that we have been here but we plan on pulling out tomorrow early.

While we were here, we discovered that the Branson Jeep show was going on and there were jeeps from all around of every size shape and color. I went at night after we had set up and rode on my Onewheel over to the Branson Landing and checked out the Jeep action. I will download some pictures and videos if possible to show the action.

Today we got up and around and I went for a short OneWheel ride and then came back and Lisa and I got on the trolley and it dropped us off at Bass Pro and we walked over to the parking lot to check out all the jeeps.

Later in the afternoon… Lisa laid down to try and sleep and I rode my Onewheel 4 miles into town to Walmart and bought her a bike. It wasn't the most well well thought out plan because my battery was almost dead by the time I got to Walmart and I had to hitch a ride back with two guys in a pick up truck..... that I waved down at a gas station across from Walmart and paid them $20 for the lift.

When I got back… Lisa was out on the little dock bench that is literally about 100 feet from our RV door… She was so excited that she couldn't sleep so she was out catching some rays with Bella and watching the geese.

Lisa was excited about her new bike that I bought her and is excited to go on some bike rides with me down along the river on the bike path.

501 Buena Vista Rd, Branson, MO 65616, USA

Made it to our next overnight spot… 5 miles from our previous overnight spot… Didn't make it very far. More explanation to come.

Our run as the RV Bandits or Lakeside Free-Loaders didn't last long. The first night we pulled in to the Lakeside RV campsite on the water by the Nranson landing and we stopped at the weigh station long enough for me to check the place out on my onewheel. After finding spot 106 available we pulled in and set up at about 6:30pm.

We had no issues the first night and most of the next day. Then about 5pm the next day...our gig was up. Mark the park "police" came knocking g on the door as a family and their RV sat anxiously waiting to pull into "our" spot. Lisa and I looked at each other like "oh man...we're busted!" \240Mark was confused about who we were and asked if our name was Innis...I said no and gave him my name. He asked if we were supposed to be in that spot and I fibbed and said yes.

Mark contacted the front office ladies and tried to get to the bottom of what was going on. Lisa went into "maybe we are at the wrong site" mode and created a story about maybe we were supposed to be at the rv site across the bridge. Lisa was very convincing and almost turned on the water works....to the point that Mark felt bad and assured us that they would get it all figured out.

After several minutes....mark came back and said he had good news and bad news. The good news was that we didn't have to pay for the previous night because the previous campers already paid and left early. The bad news was that we had to pay for the next night...$72. Not a bad deal...we basically stayed for 2 nights for the price of one....$36 dollars per night for full hookups right on the lake...not too shabby.

The ladies in the front office said we could stay an additional night if we wanted to but we had already put money down on America's Best Campground (ABC) and so we went ahead and only stayed 2 nights. The family that came in and was supposed to have the slot we were in had 3 RV families that were together. They had 3 rowdy boys who thoug hit but would be a good idea to play with their big fast rv cars at 11pm....racing them back and forth and spinning them around in circles and causing rocks to flick up every where. \240At one point I asked them not to do that in front of our rv bcuz it was fling rocks everywhere. Then I felt uncomfortable going to bed and ended up staying up literally all night on a watch dog vigil...and actually slept on the concrete under the rv for a couple of hours....sleeping only subconsciously on and off all night as I listened to the latest breaking news about Trump bombing Iran in a highly secretive and well organized and strategized stealth bomber raid against 3 Iranian uranium nuclear sites. I stayed awake and vigilant all night and finally at 5:30 am when the sun was coming up I decided to go in and sleep a little bit.

NEXT STOP.....AMERICAS BEST CAMPGROUND

When we got to our new site...ABC....it was only 5 miles from the previous site. We starting setting up in site 18 but it was an end spot and was shorter than #17 next to us so I called the fro t office and asked if we could move and they said no problem.

We got set up and them Lisa and I both slept for about 2 hours before my parents and JNJNA came up. My parents arrived about 3:15 pm and JNJNA all got here about 4pm.

After some deliberation about where to go eat....we decided to try "Gettin Basted." \240It was really god and the portion sizes were humongous. I got the Moink pulled pork burger and Lisa got he Moo brisket burger. Jeff and Jay got turkey. We were all stuffed when we left.

While were there I tried to buy the staff shirts that said Gettin Basted with a pig in the front and Smoke squad on the back. They told us that they were not allowed to sell those shirts. I said they should tell the boss that they would sell a ton of shirts if they offered those shirts.

Lisa and I rode with my parents to and from the restaurant and I forgot how nauseating my dad's driving is. He would run up behind people and then slam on his breaks. At one point he dove of the rode onto the grassy shoulder because someone had got between us and Jeff...as if Jeff wasn't smart enough to follow us from a few cars back...or just gps the restaurant himself. I literally felt like I was in a \240ride at silver dollar city. I fell bad for thinking that my dad is a horrible driver...but it's true. That that I have much to to talk...but I don't run up the back of people and slam on my breaks....EEK!

When we got back we all had brownies that my mom made which turned out pretty good...two layers of brownies and 2 layers of icing...chocolate and German chocolate. We also had Lkondike bars to go with them that we stopped and got on the way home.

I got to play catch with softballs and glove as well as the football with Jeff and Jay. When we finished eating the brownies we walked up the pool and JNJNA and I "swam"...really we just hung out in the pool and talked. It was nice and warm and it was nice to catch up with everyone. We talked about their teaching assignments and especially about Jay's crazy summer coaching responsibilities.

Lisa stayed back and started our 4 loads of laundry. Unfortunately the change machine don't give no change and my dad had to find a car wash to get quarters for the laundry.

Finally it was time for every one to take off and so we all hugged and my parents and JNJNA all took off...leaving me and Lisa to finish our laundry.

Lisa and I walked up to the laundry room and folded our clothes and towels as they came out of the dryer.

Today (June 23) I went on a 4.5 mile onewheel ride to Home Depot. Lisa texted and showed me apitire of the toilet leaking so I bought a wax seal and a rubber one size fits all gasket to try and fix it. I also got some DAP to reseal the hose big on the rv.

When I got back from my onewheel excursion (4.5 miles there and 4.5 miles back)...I accidentally woke Lisa up when I was rooting around in the storage compartment trying to dig out my tool box, which of course was the furthest thing in the storage compartment.

I went and took a shower and let Lisa try to go back to sleep. When I got back...Lisa was still awake do we worked on the toilet. I popped off the plastic caps and tightened down the nut on both sides of the toilet. I guessed on the size of the wrench and got it he first time...it was an 11.

Before bedtime I walked Lisa to the shower house and came back and played my guitar and waited for Lisa to let me now she was done.

Lisa was pretty worn out. She didn't get much sleep and she was down on her belly scraping and cleaning the dog hair and other oush out from under the coach. It was Pretry nasty and Lisa went through a ton of paper towels getting it all cleaned out.

It's now 20 minutes after midnight and I'm making my journal entry for the day.

Found a nice quiet little park with a swing where we could rest from our exhausting bike ride and strategize about our next day… Destination unknown.

I went out and introduced myself and met Justin Herman....we talked about his business. He builds and repairs race cars and delivers them to his clients at the track in his massive transport truck. He lives in California near the Cajon valley and we talked about church and young life and he said that Switchgoot was just starting out as teenagers and they used to play the youth worship services before they became SWITCHFOOT and blew up and got big. He said he surfed and skated and raced motocross professionally...that's how he became close to Travis Pastrana. His boys also race motocross and they had a race in Casey just up the road about an hour from our Okaw Valley Camp ground. I wish we would have gone and watched the races yesterday....who knows....maybe Justin would have invited us to hang out with him and the fam.

Woke up at 6:37 am today and went for a little jog around the campground and around the lake. Stayed for a couple of days at kaboose Lake in Remington Michigan. We were a lot number 118

I'm finally starting to enjoy this RV life. Up until now it's been pull in set up....scramble and get things put away … Go to the shower house… Sleep wake up… Pack it all up and move to the next site… Repeat

We got here early enough today to get set up and still have enough light to enjoy the lake and then we have all day tomorrow to hang out and not have to pack up.

Great little site… Beautiful Lakeview… But right on the other side was the freeway so it's kind of an interesting location wedged between the freeway and this beautiful serene lake.

It was a little awkward getting into the site because we could only go a certain way in and out so I ended up driving in and then backing about 10 sites just to get to our site.

Did some snorkeling by our campsite and found us dinner… LOL.

16
Caboose Lake Campground

Ooh la la...yummy yummy....it was the

summer of 69

I didn't do much today....Lisa took a nap in the afternoon and I ran to the Dollar General to get a few items like water and floss and other camping essentials. When I got back...Lisa was asleep so I slept in the bed of the truck until she woke up because she has not gotten good sleep since we started on this RV journey.

When she got up from her nap...I made pulled pork nachos from the pork loin that she cooked all night in the crock pot and Lisa made corn tortilla tacos with the pulled pork.

After that I went for a onewheel ride around the campground and down the street over the overpass and all around the truck stop. I watched a tanker truck driver literally jack-knife his trailer to back into a really tight spot between two other 18 wheelers...I stopped and told him that was an impressive job of backing and aske how long he had been driving and he said not long...that makes it even more impressive.

RV bandits AKA Lakeside Loafers strike again. Lookie lookie what we found.

So last night we stopped by 4 different rv parks and none of them had any vacancies. We had tonight and the rest of the week already booked, but needed 1 night last night.

It was getting late and we didn't want to be setting up in the dark. We drove down a nice little community that was right on Lake Michigan and I noticed a house that looked abandoned. Long story short....we boondocked in the pull through U driveway of a house that sat literally on the beach. No electric/water/sewer hookups, but we were able to sleep in a safe place for the night. We got up at 4 am and skidattled under the cover of darkness before we were discovered. \240

Instead of messing with all the setting up process, we spent the evening hanging out on the beach and watching the sunset.

We first stopped at covert campground which was a really cool little hidden spot off in the woods literally a few feet from Lake Michigan and people were crammed in the site like sardines and their tents and small RVs. Unfortunately they didn't have any vacancies so we had to pull our 30 foot RV and truck through really tight group of trees and campers. I got a nice little video on my Onewheel of what we had to maneuver through. One spot where I had to back up twice in order to make the turn.

The next place we played tried was called s'more RV park. No vacancy. Then we tried Jensen's… Same story no vacancies. We drove down the road a few more feet and tried one other park and nothing was available. All of a sudden… Every parking lot we passed was looking more and more desirable… Even the middle school parking lot. Lisa was starting to go from Fiona to the angry green ogre and I knew we had to find a place quickly.

Just when we almost gave up… That is when we drove down the street and discovered the "abandoned" house that we ended up staying at for the night as described above.

Spent an hour at Walmart with Bill riding half of the bikes that were on clearance because we made a monumental mistake by not bringing Lisa's bike… That wasn't very smart of either of us. She loves her bike and now we are trying to replace one just for the summer so she can ride around and see the sites.

I came and bought Lisa a bike at the Walmart in Branson on my Onewheel… As noted in a previous journal entry but we took it out twice and the chain kept coming off on our second ride so we took it back and got cash last night.

24
12639 N Northport Point Rd

We found this really cool spot to hang out for the day. We were just driving and saw what looked like a business and there was a lot Next Door for sale and we pulled the truck around behind and the place looked abandoned but still well kept. It had a shed building with some kayaks and paddle boards next to it and inside where the paddles for the paddleboard. we didn't end up using that stuff but we did use the chairs and the table that were next to the shed when it was time for lunch. But we were able to hang out at this really cool beach location with no one around except for a couple of neighbors that ventured out onto the beach at one point. Lisa was able to lay out all day and I snorkeled quite a bit up underneath that walkway that goes out into the lake. it was a really cool day and we had the beach entirely to ourselves. What a great find.

Perkins Park

Spent three days and two nights at the Perkins Park and Campground in big Bay Michigan.

Unfortunately it rained the first two days we were there and everything was a muddy mess. There was a nice little gazebo area that had benches and a big rock fireplace that was for community use as well as a small community beach. The beach was on independence lake.

Wish I would've taken a picture of the little Community gazebo and fireplace. The last morning I went up and someone had built a fire in the fireplace the night before and there was enough embers left that I kept it going with two logs we got from our neighbor in Traverse City that had just bought the place.

When we first pulled up there was a man sitting under the awning of his RV and a Fred Flintstone shirt and I said hello and we talked a little. His name was Chad and his wife's name is Leslie. He told me a sad story about how he used to drive trucks Across the country and was familiar with Missouri… And then he retired and went into being a prison guard and told me about how a prison guard had bashed his head against the floor and caused him to have a brain injury and he stuttered pretty badly as a result of it. It was very sad sad story.

Pray For Chad and Leslie and the lady at the booth that was having knee surgery… See below for details.

Lisa and I also went for a walk and when we came back we talked to the girl in the booth that I didn't catch your name… But Lisa poured into her and talked about using magnesium on her body for relieving pain and the girl revealed to us that she is going to be having surgery on her knee so we pray for that girl and I don't remember her name or didn't actually get it but we pray for that girl in her surgery as well in Jesus name

A middle school girl and teenage boy… Probably freshman were right outside our trailer hitting a volleyball around and Lisa and I got a little nervous so we went out and Lisa took Bella and introduced her to the kids and I started playing volleyball with them… Just bumping sitting passing… Playing a little pepper with the kids and talk to them a little bit Their dad came out and hung out a bit and talked with us and played a little pepper as well.

After a while we went back inside and the kids went off somewhere else to play.… Mission accomplished! We were just worried about the kids hitting the ball into our stuff and so we went out and headed it off at the PASS and proactive ourselves and make our presence known so we didn't have to worry about them sitting and making a ton of noise to the entire time.

Found out that the dad was from Grand Rapids and was a Packers fan and that they live just up the road in the upper peninsula. Also found out that the 7th Grade girl plays in volleyball tournaments in St. Louis which is a long way to go from the northern Peninsula of Michigan.

35
Lake Fanny Hooe Resort and Campground

Drove through the town of Houghton to get to Copper Harbor.

Found this cool little rest stop that had these rock steps and a beautiful view of lake superior. Very rocky. Lots of cliffs. It was rainy so the lake was very angry looking with whitecaps and waves. Very beautiful and majestic.

We are on campsite number 58 in the fanny hoe RV park in Copper Harbor Michigan which is in the northernmost tip of the upper peninsula of Michigan.

The water and electric were on the wrong side so we had to use an extension cord along with our 50/30 amp converter but it worked fine and we ran everything underneath the RV. The sewer was a little tricky because it ran a little uphill and I had to use one of the planks my dad gave us to elevate The drainage hose.

Went on a 6 mile bike ride/One Wheel float along the trails in the woods around the different RV parks and national Park areas.

Found a pretty cool spot to stop on our bike ride that was on a rocky little beach directly across from this lighthouse. We spent about 45 minutes just hanging out and enjoying the view and the scenery.

This picture is self-explanatory… Wishful thinking!

Nice scenic overlook at Sunset on the Brockway mountain scenic overlook.

Went all the way to the top of the mountain on the Brockway mountain Ridge overlook and several people have gathered to watch the sunset over the bay area.

After viewing the sunset from the top of the mountain range… We went down to the marina and hung out on these really cool Michigan shaped beach chairs and watched the remainder of the sunset. Pretty cool little spot. Great place to kayak… The water was very peaceful and still.

This picture above is a little out of order… This is at the top of the mountain range… Showing all the people who gathered to watch the sunset over the bay. Then we drove down to watch the remainder at the marina

We boondocked here for a few hours since we left the campsite so early this morning due to my foolish decision to cover the fire pit with the plank that said...Do NOT use!! Thank you....Park staff.

I was up most of the night keeping watch in fear that the couple next to us would retaliate because they couldn't us their fire pit. Lisa was also up most of the night unable to sleep.

I should have just parked the rv diagonally in the space and further away from the fire pit so we could have a restful peaceful night and not have to make an early get-a-way for fear of the lynch mob.

Union River 'Big Bear' Campground

This was a cute little rv park right across the road from Lake Superior. We only had water and electric and the water pressure was not enough for the water heater to kick in so we used our fresh water tank. It rained on and off and the site we were at (17) was a muddy quagmire with fresh cut grass clippings all over the ground so we tracked in a bunch of grass.

The bathrooms were nice but hadn't been cleaned all day and the floors had mud and grass all over them...even I. The showers....everything was a muddy mess.

It was pitch black at night and the cloudy foggy haze finally dissipated and lifted leaving and incredibly bright starry night and I captured this awesome pic of the Big Dipper.

44
Indian Lake State Park

Found a nice little gem right on the Indian Lake. Great little corner spot away from all the activities and noise.

Site #130

Corner lot with lots of trees and a place to back the truck in out of the way.

This was a great little spot tucked away in the corner of the RV park. A little bit of a walk to the bathrooms and bath house but it was a really nice bathroom and they had individual showers and even a family shower with the toilet and sink and shower and Lisa and I were able to take a shower and that one together. They said they both got good rest at this place and we spent three nights there so it was nice to unwind and not have to go go go. I slept in my hammock and Lisa in the bed and that seems to be a nice system.

The last night of our stay… There were a bunch of rowdy kids making a bunch of noise at the beach… Probably sixth grade or maybe middle school aged… Hooping and hollering after quiet hours when I was completely dark so I put on all my black hoodie and dark clothing and got my big spotlight flashlight and walked over to the beach and from behind the building flash my light with the flashing setting and said I was security and that the kids could not be here after dark without their parents… And one of the kids said OK we’re leaving… And shortly after that they all scattered back to their respective sites or maybe the same site and then it was quiet on the beach the rest of the night. Mission accomplished!

We had a little scare when we first got here....Lisa bought some slide out grease spray that I applied inside and when we tried to move the slide out...it started beeping really loud like a smoke alarm. It wouldn't stop for a few minutes and we were both freaking out a little bit.

Also, the TV and speaker and outlets in the kitchen and the night light outlet by the coach were not working. We tried pulling the fuse out and putting it back in and turned the breakers off and back on but it didn't work. Lisa was freaking out pretty bad...until she went to the bathroom to pee and noticed that the green light that is usually on the gfci outlet was not on and she pushed the reset button and everything came back to life and Lisa squeezed with excitement..."I FIXED IT!" Little Mrs. Fix it strikes again.

We were both very relieved that it wasn't anything major.

You can see the sun setting and the lake behind the truck and hammock in this pick.

Had a nice beach day with Lisa. We actually got along for a change…she got some really good sleep so she was in a much better mood.

This was a nice little spot with two trees placed perfectly for Hammerking. Very short walk to the beach. The beach was interesting… The rocks were all sharp jagged almost trapezoidal and geometric shape stones… Like flag stones or paver stones and the entire bottom of The lake was Stone rather than Sand.

It had really good bathrooms. Individual shower rooms and a couple of nice sized family/handicap bathrooms that had the toilet and the sink and the shower all in one space and there’s a very large family bathroom. Listen I took a shower in there the first night and the next day and I shave my head while she showered and there was plenty of room for us.

When we got to the site there were only two spots available… Number 47 and number 37 and we took number 37 which was a really decent size spot for being the next to last one available especially with the hammock trees. It was just electric with no water or sewer.

We went down and checked out the historic Fayette Township little town and that was pretty neat to see all the old buildings or replicated old buildings and the artifacts that they had dug up like nails and shoes and Glass and they had peace together several of the kitchen items like coffee pots and those kind of things. It was cool to read about the history of this smelting community. One little building that looks like a beehive that was used for a coal kiln had really great acoustics and I woke up in the morning and went for a nice little One Wheel sunrise Ride and I spent about 30 minutes in that coal kiln beehive brick building singing worship songs… Acoustics were so good.

Went on a nice little sunrise One Wheel ride through the little Fayette town in the morning while Lisa slept in.

Here is all the stuff and artifacts and historical facts about the little town… Lisa and I walked through the buildings and took it all in.

Aloha State Park

Found this little place in Cheboygan…Aloha State Park. \240It sits right on Mullet Lake.

Spot number 287. Not a bad little spot. About 12 to 15 sites away from the lake and backed up right against a heavily wooded area but a very large space with plenty of room at the back and sides. Nice permanent fire pit and the standard picnic table.

We pulled in last night about 5 PM and the girl at the desk said they had no electric electric full hook ups and I said he has full hook ups and found the spot and she said very rarely does someone come that late and I actually get a full hook up spot so God is looking out for us as he has been this entire trip.

The bathroom situation was not great because there are probably at least 1200 people in this camp… It’s huge and there are two bathrooms that have two showers each so four showers for 1200 people. Their shower two camper ratio is a little off. It was nice however to use our own shower and be able to take a shower barefooted… Twice actually after having morning sex… Which is the best way to start off the day. \240Very good water pressure at this place.

Lisa and I went on a bike/One Wheel ride through the camp last night about sunset time and checked out all of the RVs and campsites with a dozen bicycles and folding chairs and all kinds of stuff that people brought with him and probably camping here for an extended period of time. We ended up out at a little Pierce/PASS that went out into the lake and the sun was setting just beyond and we got some nice sunset pictures. Very beautiful sunset… Maybe one of the best we’ve seen so far.

40 Mile Point Lighthouse Park

Checked this out. Took Lisa to the 40 Mile point lighthouse today for her birthday and we got to go up in the lighthouse and see the fantastic view and we went into the pilots pilots nest off of a trailer yeah 18 6818 was 1912 I think

Harrisville State Park

Found another sweet location and it’s a corner lot and there were two lots remaining and we have a view of the lake and everything. Pulled in about 5:30 PM. The lot has lots of privacy and the entire camp actually has trees separating every lot which is pretty neat. It was a little bit of a difficult maneuvering job to get us into the spot because I had to book Rogers and do a full U-turn to get us facing the opposite direction because we didn’t have a long enough electric cord to reach the electric box.

Bella found a little buddy just her size.

We left Hoeft State Park \240at about 12 noon today and trying to get to Port Austin or Crescent port but there was no room in the inn at Crescent Park state park so I just kept driving. Drove past the Jellystone and check it out but there were kids everywhere and they wanted $80 per night. So we just kept driving all the way down to Lakeshore state park.

Pizza Hut

Stopped in Cuba for gas at Casey’s….$2.89/ gallon

Went to Jack in the box for tacos but the girl that worked there coming out of the door didn’t have any teeth…and the door frame looked filth like it hadn’t been washed in who knows how long.

So we went to Pizza Hut instead and got a stuffed crust Canadian bacon and pineapple.

62
Ozark Farms Family Campground & RV Park

Lisa found this place in Rolla. Only $36 per night for full hookups and 50 amps.

We were originally given lot #13 but when we got here we pulled in to lot #17 instead and then talked to Michele who owns the land and runs the rv campground and she said it was ok to stay in 17. They have 400 acres of farmland and used about 15 acres to to renovate Michele’s dads mobile home park into a nice rv campground.

Went for a One Wheel ride around the campground and ran into Kyler… A woman in her probably early to mid 60s and she gave me the whole rundown about her RV and the trouble that she has had with it and that she is going through a warranty process and sending a letter to the CEO of the company because of all of the issues she has had.

Says she just divorced her husband and bought that RV and has a big Dooley Ford truck named Ruby that is a very pretty ruby color.

Turtle Stop

Just stop and get some corn nuggets and potato wedges and corn dogs… The meal of champions. Lisa says my wife is a cheap date.

Grand Valley RV Community

We bounced around to about 5 different RV parks trying to find a semi-permanent place to live for the school year while our house sells.

We finally came across Grand Valley RV in Grove OK…just minutes from the Grand Lake.

It took us about 3 days to get organized but Lisa spent the day sorting and placing stuff to make our 8x30 house in wheels a home.

We had to have Jimmy the owner cut out our septic pipe in order to make the flow right for our septic hoses. Now it flows better than it has all summer.

The site was BYOP….build your own pit…so yesterday Jimmy dropped off our fire pit blocks and last night Lisa and I built the pit and had our inaugural fire…burning all our junk mail from the entire summer that may parents went and picked up.
