Warsaw

On the 14th November 2011, aged 13 I met my best friend on Omegle.

Anyone from my generation who used Omegle ‘back in the day’ will know it was full of creepy old men, and if you dared to go on video chat you were 99% going to see their dick.

Funnily enough, both myself and Klaudia found each other on the video option of Omegle and we both thought we were speaking to fake accounts, LOL!

We decided to add each other on Facebook and began messaging and started to skype call.

Klaudia is from Warsaw, Poland and over the years she was studying English in school, I had sometimes helped her with this.

Klaudia had done a school exchange to London in 2014, but as I was sitting my GCSE exams I couldn’t travel during the week to London to meet up with her.

In March 2015 I began my first full time job and after 4 years of friendship we spoke about meeting each other, I had never flown before so made an impulsive decision to buy my first passport and booked a plane ticket to Warsaw...

On 20.08.2015 I flew from London Stansted to Warsaw on my own, I was so nervous that Klaudia wouldn’t meet me at the airport or that she didn’t really live in Poland (she was running a little late collecting me from the airport) but, sheWAS/ IS real!!!

I stayed with Klaudia and her family in her house for one week, and had the best trip ever exploring Warsaw, shopping and spending time with her, and I can’t wait to return in the future.

Little did I know that 9 years ago I would meet my best friend via Omegle and still be friends to this day... the power of the internet... ❤️

Agadir

On 17.11.2015 I flew from Manchester to Agadir, Morocco with at the time my mums girlfriends daughter Emma from Connahs Quay Flintshire, for her 21st birthday.

We stayed at Caribbean Village a Agadir hotel, at the time that we went the hotel wasn’t the best... not much variety for food.

Emma had been sent an article about a terrorist attack at a hotel (1,000 miles away) but started flapping and decided we needed an early flight home, so what was meant to be a week holiday ended up being 3.5 days, as we flew back the evening of 20.11.2015.

Upon returning to the UK, my mums relationship with Donna (Emma’s mum) was over & we returned to Oxford.

I unfortunately didn’t get to see much of Morocco, but would quite like to revisit and head to Marrakech in the future.

Benidorm

On 10.08.2016 myself and my mum flew out to Benidorm, this was my mums first ever holiday abroad.

We went for one week and met my mums cousin Emma and her daughter Holly out there too.

Over the week we relaxed, had plenty of cocktails, explored the beach front and Old Town of Benidorm, a little boat trip and also headed over for a day trip to Mundomar Zoo / Park.
