We Stayed at the Royal Sonesta.
We arrived in Puerto Rico today. Tom has a Law practice meeting. On Friday we are going on a cruise with Walt and Julie Karnstein and Mark and Susan Robertson.
We Stayed at the Royal Sonesta.
We were supposed to get on the ship at 1:30, but found out yesterday that the ship has been in dry dock for 3 weeks \240in the Bahamas and is delayed in getting to the port. Our new arrival time is now 5:30.
We checked out of the hotel at 11:00 and are just sitting by the pool waiting to leave.
Lunch overlooking ocean
We got to the port about 4:30-it was supposed to be 1:30. \240It was a zoo! We stood in the rain about 20 mins and then under cover for about 45 mins. We finally got on the ship about 5:45. Dinner was at 6:45, and we went in the same clothes we had been wearing all day.
Once we finally got on board, Mark and Susan treated us to a drink to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first date!
We had 2 relaxing days at sea.
Formal night
We went to a crown and anchor event. There are 126 diamond passengers, 58 diamond plus and 4 pinnacle. The person with the most cruises has 124 just on Royal Caribbean! After \240this cruise we will be diamond plus and have 35 cruises, but not all have been on Royal Carribean.
Because we are diamond, we had $6 on our card that we could use at the casino. Susan and I used it and Iwon $104 and she won $68!
We enjoyed the Schooner bar.
Our cabin attendant, Gilbert, left us some fun towel art!
Bonaire
Bonaire had lots of Donkeys
In Bonaire we rented bikes with Walt and Julie.
The terrain was very flat and desert like. It was the n the upper 80s and very humid. Everyone had an e-bike except Tom. I had never ridden one, but it was great! \240
We rode about 12 miles to the south of the island and stopped for lunch. The beach was supposed to be famous for wind surfing.
Old windmills
After lunch we rode back to the ship. It was a great day but we were exhausted!
Our ship from Donkey Beach
Curaçao
We’ve been to Curaçao recently so we didn’t do an excursion. We just walked around town and the sat by the water and got drinks.

Dominica
We had never been to Dominica before. It was a stark contrast to Bonaire! \240Wit a population of about 70,000, it was mountainous with a lot of vegetation. It is 2500 feet above sea level and the tallest mountain is 4,000 feet, with 15-20 waterfalls. Dominica is known as the food basket of the Caribbean because it exports so many things to other islands.

Fresh water flowing into it.
We went to Titou gorge. This was the best part of the tour! \240We swam through a gorge to a waterfall.
We also walked to see Trafalgar falls
They also took us to some hot spring. It was very relaxing!
A great day n Dominica!
