On July 13th 2018 we started our most awaited trip to Colorado - The Centennial State.

We had a 2hr Flight from Cedar rapids, Iowa to Denver, Colorado through Frontier airlines. We landed in Denver around 8pm and had called it a night.

DAY 1 - JULY 14 2018

We started our drive from Denver downtown towards the Rocky Mountains via Allenspark. As we crossed Allenspark and headed towards Lily lake we encountered a fresh water spring.

Continuing further our first stop was at Lily lake. Its located at a elevation of 8940 feet. Lake looked scenic and a best place for family picnic and hike.

We then headed towards to Beaver Meadows Visitor center, on our way we had a stop over at Mary’s lake. With its crystal clear water and sun on top. We had a picture perfect capture.

Before reaching the visitor center we had a customary stop at the RMNP sign board.

The entrance to the Beaver Meadows visitor center was stunning.

We then headed over to Estes park for the Aerial Tram ride to the top of Prospect Mountain. The views on the top of the Prospect mountain was stunning.

From there we set out towards the trail ridge road to reach the top most point in the national park.

Trail ridge road spans 48 miles from Estes Park on the east side to the Grand Lake on the west.

This road will make you awe for its scenic nature. Eleven miles of the total length makes you travel above treeline, the elevation near 11,500 feet where the park’s evergreen forest comes to a halt.

When you reach the highest point 12,183 feet elevation you get to the Tundra communities trail. This trail offers thrilling views, wildlife sightings and a freezing cold weather.

We then drove down the park and headed towards Fraser, a town in colorado and called it a day at our cabin.

DAY 2 - JULY 15 2018

Our cabin house had great mountain views.

We started our journey towards Colorado springs to visit Seven falls. We took the I-70 route towards colorado springs. The views from Fraser towards Idaho springs were very scenic.

After a 3hr drive we finally reached Seven falls.

The Broadmoor Seven falls is a series of seven cascading water falls in Colorado springs.

It has a total of 226 steps which takes you to the top of the falls.Had fun climbing up and was awe struck by its aesthetic beauty.

On our way back to cabin in Georgetown,CO we drove through Pike and San Isabel National Forest which was very adventurous with lots of wild animal sightings. The entire drive was visually stunning. We finally reached the cabin in Georgetown, CO after a 3hr drive.

The town sits at an elevation of 8530 feet, nestled in the mountains near the upper end of the valley along interstate 70.

DAY 3 - JULY 16 2018

We started our journey towards Mt Evans. We headed on the Mt Evans Scenic Byway.

Our first stop was Echo Lake. Echo Lake sits at an elevation of 10600 feet.

From there we headed towards the summit of Mt Evans. It has a highest paved road in North America. The entire drive to top is really thrilling.

Lincoln lake is approx 11422 feet.

Then we headed towards Summit lake. Summit lake sits at 12,836 feet on the north face of Mt Evans.

From here we headed towards the summit where we encountered Mountain goat.

From this point there is a 1/4 mile hike to the top most point of the mountain. This point gives us breathtaking panorama views of the rocky mountains.

Our last stop of our trip was Lake dillon.

We had a wind up of our trip with a quick shopping at Frisco town where we spotted a dual rainbow.
