Started trip on May 25 with Jon's grandma Thelma's funeral. \240She almost lived to 105 years old.

Driving west... with a 30mph headwind... getting 3-6mpg on a flat road.

Meeting friends along the way - Jon's friend Ryan who is a large and small animal vet in Miles City. \240Kids got to see a dog dental extraction with anesthesia! \240We also reviewed radiographs of a canine fracture internal fixation!! \240Vets do it all!!!

From there on 26th we had a delicious dinner in Bozeman (yummy steak). \240We stayed with Clay and Rochelle and Gus was so excited to meet a real YouTuber! \240Here are some of their adventure rigs! \240

Pulled over bc Gus had to ... use the facilities. \240Some workers flagged us down - they needed jumper cables! \240Gus ran over to share some. \240They were back to work and saved a four hour trip back to their shop. :)

Long driving day... and when we arrived to Cour D'Alene, it was cold and rainy! \240No paddle boards today. \240Instead, we went for a walk on the 'beach.' \240We did see a momma duck and six ducklings. \240Four of them were separated from mom, and she called them and they came right away to safety. \240Smart ducklings. \240

Everyone tired. \240Half burnt pizza for dinner... \240hint: in gas stove, make sure to really preheat AND use the top shelf. \240Ooooops. \240Luckily there was also potato salad and pickles and tomatoes w/glaze and various fruit!

Leaving the campground on the island. \240Unlike yesterday, it's a beautiful day.

Sandpoint City Beach Park

Stopped in Sandpoint to meet more friends, Vince and Amelia and their 3 kids. \240Kids played in playground, avoiding geese... and goose droppings. \240Also played on the beach!

Went for ice cream. \240

Avoiding the geese parents...

This road looked interesting... so here we went!

Arrived at the campground and the spot Ralph saved for us was too small!!! \240There is no one in the world that was getting a camper this size into that slot. \240

Ralph said there is a spot up the road from the campground where he is planning to build a house. \240There is no water / electric, but the view isn't too shabby.

Well, there isn't a spot this nice in the entire campground!!!! \240Pretty sure we are sitting on five-ten acres of riverfront property out of Ralph's 400 or so. \240His ranch is just across the highway. \240

Made a quick dinnner of hamburgers. \240Hunger is the best sauce. Dinner was later than usual and everyone finished their meal!

It got chilly fast... felt like temperature dropped 20 degrees in 30 minutes.

When it got too cold outside, Anna you went inside to color and do puzzles. \240

Also, we got a small basil plant earlier today at Walmart to nurture (and eat!)

This isn't the Missouri!!! This water is FAST.

Playing on the campground beach!

Guided trout fly fishing on Columbia River!

Jon went fishing... hopefully those pictures will get added on! \240Another day of beach and adventures while dad was fishing. \240

First stop is an old logging area. \240Site of a dam from 1930s to 2006. \240The area has been restored since that time. \240
