And we are off! Zack flew in to Logan from RDU yesterday, and spent the night with us in Newmarket. Jake met us at Logan this morning after traveling from Brooklyn to Holliston yesterday.

Zack doing what he does best!

We are off! Today was long- we left the hotel and took a water taxi over to the ship. We then spent a few hours going through customs, leaving baggage, listening to safety talks, and getting situated in our room.

We explored the ship; Jake and Zack were a mix of impressed and horrified by the abundance. The rooms are great- the balconies providing a bit of extra space.

Breakfast at our hotel- The Hotel Lonsdale Quay on the waterfront. Our server Savo made the meal with humor and a fun disposition.

They have a free library on the ship!

Our first drinks/lunch. Each person gets 16 drinks/day!! Yikes:)

Milkshakes at the gelato shop count as a drink!

The view from our balcony.

This building \240is the cruise ship port and a convention hall.

The Koningsdam!

First night at sea!

Today is a day at sea. We all woke up around 6-7; Zack and I hung out on our balcony for awhile.

On the balcony.

Jake and I spotted \240these in the elevator; just in case we forget what day it is!

We went to a talk on whales and ate our way through the different dining options.

Today was extraordinary! We stopped in Juneau and did a helicipter ride to a glacier.

On our way!

Hebert Glaciar

Today we disembarked in Skagway. The downtown had some hand made items and lots of tourist items. We did have delicioys doughboys fried dough) that were light and flavorful.

At 12:30 we hopped on a bus that took us to the station to board the White Pass and Yukon Route train. We spent about 2 hours on the train, traveling into Canada along windy tracks, through tunnels, and enjoying majestic mountains and beautiful waterfalls. We had an audio tour explaining the scenery as well as the \240journey that gold seekers \240made in this area in the early 1900s

We transferred to a bus and in one hour went \240back down the mountain on the highway.

We were fortunate as we had high visibility and no rain.

I didnt take many pictures of the scenery as I was

I was sick today; stayed in bed! The weather was nice so i could keep the door open and watch the glaciers.

Not a bad view!

Today we docked in Ketchikan. Rich and the kids went snorkeling; I went shopping as I didnt feel well enough to snorkel.

We learned to play bridge. One more day!!

Our last day at sea. We enjoyed watching the scenery as we sailed. We all enjoyed our relaxing day. We ended with our one fancy meal at Pinnacle Grill. It was the best meal so far!

We saw an amaxing sunset! Our final treat!

And today we head home. We walked to a beautiful Chinese garden.

Said a sad goodbye to Zack, then had delicious ramen in Chinatown at The Ramen Butcher. The poverty, open drug use, and visible mental illness in Vancouver are very prevalent. We decided to wait out our day at the airport. We are checked in and ready…for our flight in 7 hours!!
