DAY 1

Hitting the hay after a long busy day...

So great to finally be here after all the planning (Tony gets the cred there). Anthony the Camplify owner called to say that our prearranged morning meet up tomorrow was tight for him and that he could meet us at airport on arrival instead and drive us to motel - \240perfect as we needed a transport solution for that leg. Great to meet our ‘Shelly’ in the airport carpark as the son beat down and wind swirled through. \240He drove us into town (digs) and then generously took us through all of the camper deets - lovely and modern. Kids are in love with the loft style bed that can prob sleep 3 small bods, hope he’s right! Tony later bravely drove into town to fetch our Indian takeaway. We all gobbled down scrummy chicken TM, lamb saagwala and aloo gobi. Motel abbey lodge is shabby but comfy and cosy. Watched Lion and now desperately need to sleep 😴

Travelling covid styles - so blessed to travel!

Meet Shelly 😎

Off to get our curry & beers - loving the extra light !

DAY 2

Shabby Abbey was fine for 1 night- leaving now

The zoo that is us ! 🐒

Appreciating the art & architecture through Christchurch city

Quite sad to see the cathedral still in quite a bit of ruin after 10 years...

The art was quite reminiscent of Melbourne & Miami for me...

Pleasing aesthetics around every corner amidst the ruins and renos

Tony and I often stayed at this hotel in our previous work lives, now being rebuilt/refurbed (Heritage then?)

Can you spot the tyre?

Looks like a David T

We loved the ceiling at Unknown Chapter for breaky

Inhaled this veggie plate

Breakfast quesadillas were pretty epic!

Feeding time at the zoo 🍳 🥓 🍄

Felt quite emotional arriving at Al Noor mosque and trying to fathom the horrific unfolding of events. May the 51 souls RIP ♥️

New Brighton - sunny windy luffley

Love wins every time #peace ✌🏽

Leaving town #windmills
