Natural History Museum

I wasn’t quite sure what to get up to this weekend but I started to come down with what I thought was a cold so I decided to stay local.

I hadn’t yet taken advantage of the free museums here so that seemed like a great place to start on Saturday. Off I went to the Natural History Museum!

The museum was definitely busy and children heavy, but they had a lot going on for all ages so I didn’t have to battle a bunch of 3 foot munchkins to check out parts of the exhibitions.

One of the coolest areas was the dinosaurs- there was a ton of full skeletons suspended above as you walked through. For most of them you could get almost within reach as well which I was surprised by - although that also means you can see they required some dusting 🧐.

The real life T-Rex was also pretty cool! 🦖

The other exhibitons covered sea life, insects, mammals, and a crazy awesome photography display of all wild life. I think the dinosaurs were my favourite, but the display of rare stones and minerals had some really unique stones and materials I hadn’t heard of as well.

So that’s one museum to check off the list, plenty more to go!
