This week we moved from Wisconsin to Benton Harbor, MI. Our plan is to get up early on Mondays to drive to our next location. We learned MANY things during this first travel day - Kids need to have plenty of school work setup and ready to go while we drive, I need a power source for my laptop when my battery dies, we need to avoid metro areas (we went through Chicago), we cannot fit under any overpasses lower than 13’8”! Jason did an awesome job getting us to Michigan!

Overpass in Chicago that we attempted to drive under - lost a vent cover on our roof then backed up into an alley and turned around. Not an easy task on Chicago streets!

Our campground this week is more basic - office, bathrooms, small playground. It felt more like normal life this week - kids and Jason studied everyday until after lunch then left campground to explore the area (see below). I worked from the RV without issue during the day and we played games, watched movies, and just hung out in the evenings.

This was the highlight of Jackson’s week!! Maybe month!! He got to hold a bearded dragon and cannot stop asking for one when we get back home. This kid loves all the creepy crawly things!

I loved this guy - teal chameleon chilling!

Grace’s favorite part was the butterfly house

Moving day a day early! It was a wet, soggy Sunday in Benton Harbor but sunny skies to the north so we’re heading to Mackinaw a day early.
