Day 2 done! Holey Moley!!

High school in Thailand ain’t no joke. Completely different ball game. Mentally exhausting. But.... brilliant experience.

They crumpled up worksheets, they chatted, they spoke in Thai, they hid their sheets, they slept on the desks, they ran about, they chopped up chalk like another white substance...! Madness. But we have to remember they have no western teachers here, they knew we were trainees, they knew we couldn’t use the cane on them like their teachers - so all in all they were pretty good!! Nothing bad happened.

One of our friends confiscated a phone.... off a teacher! She thought he was a pupil and took his phone. A joy to hear over lunch when we all needed a pick me up!

After, we headed to our local for food and much needed beers.

We then had a Thai movie night with our organisation which was a nice wind down - they provided popcorn and spring rolls etc.

Thai teaching done! And we don’t really have that long left here. This will be our last weekend, so we’re booking an elephant excursion for Sunday. Our exam is on Thursday so we’ll also need to get in some revising.
