We got in yesterday December 20th. It was a smooth flight from Houston and we made it in to Denver at lunchtime. We took the A-line from the airport to Union Station which is near downtown Denver. From there we got lunch at Whole Foods and then took the free Mall Ride trolley up 16th street toward our hotel, the Homewood Suites by Hilton.

We went to Sam’s #3 for dinner, a place featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, that started around 1920 and now has a ridiculously extensive menu. We had breakfast food— Justin had a delicious salmon and bacon eggs Benedict— and then walked around downtown. We saw the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, which was lively and festive for Christmas, with brass musicians playing upbeat Christmas favorites outside and the legendary “mile-high” Christmas tree.

We tried to get Nutcracker tickets but they were sold out. Note- they call this opera house “the Ellie”!

We got a picture in this swanky courtyard in Larimer Square, next to Bistro Vendôme. I am wearing my new light down alpine series coat Justin bought me from MONTBELL!

We rested at the hotel then ate some pho.

We then checked out an awesome bookstore, The Tattered Cover Bookstore, located by Union Station. After another break at the hotel, we headed out to our evening show, Improvised Shakespeare at the Garner Galleria Theater.

It was literally the most hilarious show I have ever seen in my life.
