Woke up Saturday morning to head to my 1st trade show in Dallas. Unfortunately joe was sick so we decided to leave sun morn.

A deja vu morning, we woke up, showered and packed up for the long drive to our first overnight stay in Memphis.

We excitedly stopped at Starbucks for coffee and breakfast and headed to the highway. 10 minutes along, joe realized he forgot his phone so we headed back home to retrieve it.

Another deja vu moment, we pulled out of the slush covered driveway and again, began our trip on the road to Memphis.

Stopped at Wendy’s in Mattoon in eastern Il.

Over the bridge and past the bass pro shop pyramid...we arrived in Memphis! After a small room change due to a toilet leak, we got ready in 10 minutes and headed to Westys (pretty sure the only thing open in the business district we stayed in)

Some beers, fried shrimp, rice, chicken and burgers made us a bit less crabby.

It’s a beautiful sunny morning in Memphis! We stopped for breakfast at Sunrise cafe, a cute touristy joint with Elvis and the blues tchotchke handmade signs.

The biscuits were fluffy and buttery and worth the stop here!

After a quick drive down the sleepy morning of Beale Street, we headed out to Dallas:
