Brannan Island State Recreation Area

Our roadtrip is lining up to begin August 21, 2020. In anticipation of our journey, we have done two checkout Airstream trips!

Our first location: Brannan Island State Park on the Sacramento Delta. Just the two of us...

Things went smoothly overall, although it took us a day to actually disconnect our Tacoma. Oh, and our electrical compartment wouldn’t open, so I had to pry it loose with a screwdriver. Fun times!

Highlights: Met some great folks parked next to us who were in the National Guard. Jeff and Trish and their two friends, one of whom was a JAG lawyer and the other a “longtagger” (army speak for Special Forces). Also, had amazing pizza @Manny’s.

Casini Ranch Family Campground

Trip two: venturing farther afield with Jonah, Raker and Fletcher! This time around, we chose Cassini Ranch in Duncan Mills. Had a great time although we e decided the Tacoma isn’t good enough to tow the Airstream so we are renting an Enterprise Truck.
