Cycling along the Vlatava river is the best weekend getaway in Budějovice. You can all the way up to Hluboká and back. You find a lot of cyclists and also runners on this path that runs parallel to the river.
The river is serene and also you find at least two lake till Hluboká with ducks dabbling their happy feet.
In summer you could also stop for beer and also some fishing. Swimmers!! you get your turn too.
