November 23 we arrived in London on Virgin Atlantic. We hardly slept on the plane and made it to our lovely hotel called the treehouse. There was a giant bird on the entry and everything is covered in wood and botanical wall coverings. Our room is beautiful with window seats

We got settled took a nap and then ventured out in the cold wind and rain to go to our Westminster abbey tour w Jo. We saw all of the tombs,

After we finish our tour of the Abi we had a hard time finding our bus and of course Mary needed to buy hat because it was cold and rainy. We stroll the streets and look at the beautiful holiday decorations. We then came upon a pub grabbed a seat and had fish and chips and mushy peas.

Then Rick went to the bathroom and I heard people chanting Mary Mary heels heels! I went around the corner and there was this group of fun people that we befriended instantly and took a group photo. We had lots of laughs then we departed and went back to our very cool hotel bar wel proceeded to eat chips guacamole Mary had a salad. And then we went to the George another pub that had music

From there we went to the pizza place and of course they were closed but we convince him to make us two pizzas our second round for the day. Capped off a beautiful first day in London though exhausted and tired and overstaffed we are grateful❤️

It’s Sunday in London! OK

Play on Sunday, November 24 Mary got up and went to the rooftop bar and worked with a view and some coffee.

We then were met in the hotel lobby by Kevin and did a walking tour through the London street early in the morning. We went by famous Winston Churchill spots, we learn the meaning of the word hangover – men rented a room for a pound and sat on a stool and “hung over “a piece of rope. When they went to work the next day they were “hung over and could barely walk.

We went by all the famous tailors on Vann Street where suits cost $50,000 and also learn the origin of the word tuxedo. We also saw the Texas Embassy. Then we went to the Winston Churchill war room underground.

Although I’ve been in London many times before this was a first. Churchill and a group of workers ran the logistics of the war underground in a secret space. We saw the map room which was the epicenter of the war where they used pen needles to mark the move of every ship in every troop there were thousands of pin holes in the map. We saw Churchill‘s bedroom and the room where he would call Roosevelt secretly.

As Rick said we would all be speaking German if it weren’t for Churchill and Roosevelt. We went to his pub called the red lion pub

W

e then went to Covent Garden and saw street entertainers heard music it was very festive. We then walked over to a late lunch at 3 PM at the portrait gallery with a view of the city. Slacks made fun of me when I realize there were “portraits “in the portrait \240Gallery. I toured the section of the tutors.

We then came back to the hotel and we were supposed to have dinner at a famous pub called Harwood but we didn’t like anything on the menu. After much debate we went to a place called Amazon a car and sat at the bar.

What is seen of beautiful women from the UAE in gorgeous clothes diamonds furs and purses. Rick had steak and Mary had swordfish and a cheese glob .

Then came back to the hotel and Mary ran around trying to find the microwave for the pizza – wait bad pizza in bed😂

It’s Monday in London. We’re up and Adam early and red took over the greeting stand in the hotel and said “I’m not ready for you yet “

We then finally got on our hop on hop off bus and drove around London ending up at the Tower of London. Of course Mary had a panic because she did not have her ticket. We proceeded onto the tour learned about the moat the torture the kings and queens and view the Crown jewels .

We then went to Buckingham palace and took a photo in front of the gates of poor slacks put bunny ears behind my head

Then it was off to Harrods which was a harrowing experience!😂🇬🇧 It was certainly fabulous people watching. We ate in the grill and had chicken and salmon and two orders of french fries. We were in search of a cane with no luck. Mary bought some goddess gifts then back to the hotel

Rick took a brief rest Mary went back to Zara and exchange your clothes. Last night in London we’ve had a fabulous time and lots of laughs as always❤️❤️

We arrived in Paris on Tuesday, November 26 on the train. Of course I made us get there really early and Rick was tired. We got to our hotel and it had a horrible smell in the room. Rick took a nap and I went looking for a new hotel.

Then Alain showed up for our Sidecar motorcycle tour of the city which I thought was going to be slow and fun. Boy was I wrong I was in the side car and we were going about 30 miles an hour through the streets of Paris the Arc de Triomphe with no lines marching in the circles. Rick loved it and I was terrified but at the end it was fun .

Then we came back and got dressed and went to find our Alain Ducasset Seine River cruise boat. I thought it was going to be more like a party boat but it was very boring and we ate a couple little appetizers and some bread and decided to get off the ship .

We caught a cab and went to a place for pizza Mary had a bit of an episode😳

Then on Wednesday, November 27 we got up Mary went to a hotel next-door and had coffee. Then we went over to the Saint Germain district and had a lovely quick breakfast before meeting our tour tour guide.

We went into the oldest church in France which was built in the sixth century and guess what the red rectangle stood for – people that were killed there.

Within stalled around the street stopped in the various shops one being a very high-end chocolate shop and the person that made the chocolate for Marie-Antoinette to take her medicine. We bought some chocolate and then went into a crazy store with a bunch of bones and skulls and books

We went to the macaroon store and to the oldest coffee shop or Ben Franklin hung out.

Then we went to a lovely little café and sat outside under blankets and had beverages and learned more about a tour guide who loves museums and just got certified and of course I told her we don’t like museums😂

We then went to the Atlas café where we met James Bond the maître d’ and Johnny Depp our waiter. I had French onion soup beef Bergen young and french fries.

Back to the hotel for a late afternoon soirée discussing our upcoming Amsterdam adventures. We are blowing off our tour of Marmont and dinner to relax and will go out later to Marmont tonight

This was a perfect day – love my slacks👖🇫🇷❤️

We spent the evening in the Marmont district walking around beautiful little cafés. Saw the Sacré Coeur.

We passed on our reservations at the

Therasa restaurant we went to see the view wishing I would’ve kept the reservation. Note to self for future

Ended up sitting outside at a quaint little café last night in Paris❤️

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃! We boarded a train leaving Paris on our way to Amsterdam. Should arrive by noon.

Very excited as I have never been here before and our hotel looks fabulous! The Craftsman!

Love Amsterdam! Our hotel is amazing! Right on the canal. I went on a walking food and cultural to her with Roman. Great group stopped in a tea shop, the flower market, the Carmel national place, the oldest wooden house in Amsterdam and much more

Then slacks and I went to dinner at a great place for Thanksgiving called the seafood \240place in green clams and shrimp and garlic no turkey.

Then onto the red light district for quite the evening at Moulin Rouge – met an adorable couple from the US. And Rick took centerstage😳😂🦃
