The Day Before Boston...

I have an interview Monday in Boston...It’s been wild lately. \240I started this prayer challenge and have been asking God to show me the path he wants me to take. \240Asking him to put me where he wants me. \240With pressures at work and me not valuing how me or my staff is being treated I started throwing my hat into the proverbial ring all throughout the country. \240Like literally, I have had phone interviews in Washington, Colorado, California, Texas, Virginia, Delaware, Massachusetts and Florida and they keep coming. \240Most recently I have made it to 2 final rounds and am still waiting to hear from 2 more (Washington and Virginia) Tomorrow is the first of the 2, Boston. Then Florida on Thursday and Friday...yeah...I know...

Now, Aaron and I love New England, Vermont especially, however the cost of living up there is outrageous. \240Just to get a place to live comparable to what we have now is double if not almost triple the amount. \240Also its cold as hell up there. \240Now I like the cold and snow and all that, but can we really handle that much cold? \240So the night before Boston, we are cleaning, washing clothes and spending time with these two:

Winston and Murphy! Beef is coming to hang with you tomorrow and Monday:-). We had to send her a video on how to get in the house and how to work our TV. \240Aaron is really into electronics so we are wired like Fort Knox..ha ha ha

Damn I am too. \240Happy!!!! Lol

Baby your so good at explaining things:-) its off to bed soon. \240God please guide us and keep us safe! \240

Till tomorrow - Jodie

Starbucks

On our way!

Leaving Salisbury! Listening to Joel Osteen...decided we are on a faith trip! Having faith that there is a reason for this trip, for this interview...just saw a billboard about faith, saw a bumper sticker for The Bridge (Christian station). Following Gods bread crumbs. Of course he had us stop as Starbucks first!! GPS says we will be there by 3:59 PM:-)

My baby is driving:-) I love him...always willing to support me and my dreams! Till later - Jodie

Wawa

Pit stop

Oh the stories I could tell about this Wawa! I worked for Wawa a long time ago...ya see this was the prostitutes biggest hang out..fights...shooting up in the bathroom...it was wild! Then when I spent some time in jail...I remember meeting the “leader” her name was Snow White...I will never forget that moment...it was unreal...not only for the fact that I just said “when I was in prison..” but also because I sat across from the “leader of the prostitution ring in New Castle and listened to her tell me outrageous true stories of the life of a prostitute. Not sure if I should feel honored or hopeless. All I know is I will never forget that experience. God wanted me to have that experience. I have seen and experienced the lowest of the low and just because I am on a faith trip to an interview in Boston doesn’t make me any better than anyone else even Snow White! Preach it God!

New York City...

Even the GPS got confused! Kept re-routing us! We got through without any injury or performing any immoral acts...The smell however...OMG! Oh and there was a pair of really cute heels on the side of the road...yeah....making me light headed....Aaron is a great driver:-)

Those heels though...made me think about what happened there? Too much night time fun? Really bad walk of shame? Or something more sinister? #peaceoutNYcity

Massachusetts

I drove through Connecticut...Beautiful country:-) Aaron told me a story about how a while back he heavily researched Moving to Waterbury CT. Ya see Aaron and I love New England....like for real...we have always talked about moving here...so he said Waterbury was the least expensive place to live when he looked...well...Ummmm it looked so dirty! And rentals were like $900...Aaron decided to remind me that all these New Englan towns are old because of Columbus..and then went on to tell me that St. Augustine in Florida was the first Spanish settlement and something about a fort...he’s so full of knowledge about stuff I know nothing about...seriously...We just got coffee from a Gas Station and Aaron took all the Dark Roast! God Help Me!

867 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02199, USA

Aaahhh the smell of marijuana....all over the place...a few very high people wondering aimlessly through life...not like other cities though! Boston is clean and full of life! I mean Berkeley School Of Music is here and like a million Starbucks and did I mention a Tesla store?

We really wanted to try the Ramon Noodles everyone was crazy about however there was a line...out the door...so we settled for Chicken and Waffes and make your own Mac and cheese!! I mean it was delightful!!

Back Bay Social is the name of this place! Oh and the picture above is just one order split into 2!! I mean woah!!! Here is Aarons synopsis on the Mac and cheese:

And I found this pic in the women’s bathroom...Not sure what emotion it’s supposed to evoke....

Boston won the World Series! The town is wild...Met some fans last night

Breakfast this morning before the interview

Now on our way in bumper to bumber traffic!

#Boston read some good stuff in my prayer book this morning...

Thought of the day:

“Crazy miracles are the offspring of crazy faith. Normal begets normal. Crazy begets crazy. If we want to see God do crazy miracles, sometimes we need to pray Crazy prayers!”

So I prayed and asked to do well today and for them to offer me something beyond my wildest dreams! We will see what happens!! Wish me luck!!

So it’s 7pm...what a freaking day!

This is the entrance to The Residence at Pearl Street.Huge Building...great decor...it use to be an old school (1939) they have a great happy staff...or so it seemed! The ED and DON both have one foot out the door. I was there for about 2 hours...First of all she didn’t even remember I was coming...so that kind of ticked me off a bit...in fact I found it rather rude. I mean I drove 8 hours up there and am driving 8 hours back....can I get an Amen?

Then we go to the “Home office” about an hour away. And these people are like health nuts...so many people are waking in their lunch breaks!

It was cray...then I went inside...met with about 5 people and came out about 4pm

It was such a long day yesterday...on the 8 hour car ride home Aaron and I had a lot to talk about. \240I think we decided we were not going to move to Boston. \240I mean the city is amazing, but its just so expensive. \240I liked the company enough. \240I liked that it was very focused on employee culture and work life balance, however I didn’t feel that feeling. \240Ya know that feeling you get when you just know. \240I got that feeling when I was at The Recovery Centers of America interview...however I guess I wasn’t meant for that job, (yet) because I didn’t get it. \240However I felt almost a sadness when we were driving home. \240Like I wasted our time, I could have spent it with Autumn and her mom and made a little money on the side. \240But instead I spent it chasing a job in Boston....but hey, Aaron and I got to spend some quality time together and I got to talk with him about my current job. \240

I am really ready to quit my job, like I wanted to walk in today and give my notice. \240I don’t feel valued, nor do I feel as if what I do or what I say matters. \240I literally had a meeting with over 50 people in it with the same complaints and I feel helpless. \240I sent an email to the HR person thanking him for setting up all the interviews and how I couldn’t wait to hear from him and the team.

I gotta see what they offer me, you never know. \240On to the next adventure...I leave on a flight Thursday at 2:47pm to Jacksonville.......till then...
