We made our way to Texas! It was a long trek to leave southern Florida on Friday and get to Galveston, TX on Monday. The RV park in Galveston was probably one of our favorites but the weather wasn’t great. Thankfully there were some families with kids at the RV park so the kids really enjoyed our week there.

Our home for the week

There was a horse pasture right next to the RV park so Jason fed them some carrots

Grace loves horses and thinks she needs a pony when we get back to MN!

Really cool temps being next to the Gulf of Mexico requires winter hats during screen time

Jason makes friends with all the neighbors

Jackson vs the pavement - pavement won! Little scooter accident

Such a serious school face!

Sunset from the RV park

The lights in the distance are oil tankers - we saw so many of them in the Gulf throughout the week

Grace tried swimming one day but it was way to cold!

One of the best things we’ve added to the RV - shoe racks!

We visited a skate park in Galveston one day

The both love doing this now

There is an entire amusement park on a pier overlooking the Gulf of Mexico

One afternoon we explored the historic area of Galveston

We even found Grace’s store

The RV Park had lots of activities - Grace’s favorite was rock painting

Another day we took our bikes to the state park and beach

First time riding bikes on the beach

The sand is much different than Florida beaches - much easier to walk and ride on

The Gulf - this was pretty typical of our weather - cloudy, cool and windy

We still smile though!

It was a quieter week spent with new friends at the RV park and exploring the beach. Next visit to Galveston will be in warmer weather!!
