Aachen

I’ve now visited Geotab office #3 in Aachen Germany. This was a pretty quick trip in and out in less than 3 days to spend time with the German team. It’s not the simplest journey to get to Aachen, so perhaps that’s why not many of my colleagues have visited and I struggled to find someone who knew the best route there.

I ended up flying from Heathrow (two trains to get to the airport) to Düsseldorf, then a tram to the Düsseldorf train station, and then a train with one transfer to the Aachen station, and then used a German app similar to Uber to get to my hotel. A little more complex than when I went to Madrid. The added complexity of having very little English signage was a fun experience as well -my strategy was to just follow icons.

I flew in Wednesday afternoon/evening so I didn’t need to find the office until Thursday, I had had enough navigation for one day anyways. I was excited to take a walk around the area and find some sort of German cuisine but it was pouring rain so it was just an early night, Chinese food delivery, and lots of sleep for me!
