14th September

Start of our South Africa expedition

Today is the day of big travel . Brisbane to Perth 5h 35 m layover of 3 hours

Perth to Jo Berg 11h 30m six hour layover

Jo Berg to Vic Falls 1h 30m

The flights were long !! Did business class on the last leg and thank goodness we did so we could use the lounge and have a shower.

Some of the people were a little stern to be honest bordering on rude really !

Arrived in Vic Falls on time, cleared customs and applied for out visa which took forever as they are all hand written .

Got to our hotel in good time it was about a 20 min journey in the bus and we saw baboons all over the road side which was pretty cool.

We arrived there at about 2pm and then realised we had a cruise that evening at 4pm . We were so tired ! But we decided to Trojan it out and get on with it .

We went on the Zambezi Explorer and we were on the top deck with some other lovely couples. We saw all sorts , hippos, elephants and baboons.

We had all drinks and canapés included on the tour and they served some lovely things including crocodile burgers which were surprisingly good .

Two nights in The kingdom hotel .

15th Sept

Woke at 5 am but i was asleep by 7pm so not surprising really ! Went down for an early breakfast which was good as there was heaps of choice .

We were collected at 10.30 am with the two couples we had met last night and went on a walking tour of the Vic falls it was a bit spectacular although it is starting to dry up now .

Walked about 2.5 hours and it was warm as. We decided to go over the falls in the helicopter as it wasn't bad priced at all . Got some amazing photos of that . Larger helicopter than the one is Hawaii so I didn't feel like i was gonna vom.

This evening we went to the Boma dinner which was ok , lots of selection and a buffet again , had the Malva pudding and that was delish .

We set off back again at about 8.30pm so not a late night at all and not sure I would go again or recommend it as the entertainment was not up to much.

Vic falls has been amazing and we head to Chobe Villas tomorrow which i am really looking forwards to
