Day 1.

Arrived in Delhi this morning. Visited my Grand Murshids and teachers; Hazrat Baqi Billah, Qutb al-Din Bakhtiyar Kaki and Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddith e Dihlawi. Just finished addressing senior Takhassus ulama class at Jamia Nizamuddin Auliya in Delhi founded by Allamah Arshadul Qadri rahimahullah. Will be visiting the resting places of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, Hazrat Mazhar e Jan e Janan and Shah Abdul Azeez Dihlawi & family رحمهم الله أجمعين.

Today with my master and my Imam, al-Shaykh al-Muhaqqiq Shah Abdul Haq al-Muhaddith al-Dihlavi rahimahullah.

Day 2.

Overwhelming experience at the feet of our Master, Reviver of the Sunnah in the 11th century, the crown of Naqshbandi Imams, the Treasure of secrets, al-Imam al-Rabbani Shaykh Ahmad Farooqi Sirhindi in Sirhind shareef, India. Also visited the shrines of their father, Khawaja Muhammad Masoom, Shaykh Muhammad Naqshband رحمهم الله تعالى and 9 graves attributed to Prophets in Barass.

Dr Muhammad Iqbal visited here and said,

حاضر ہوا مَیں شیخِ مجددؒ کی لحد پر

وہ خاک کہ ہے زیرِ فلک مطلعِ انوار

اس خاک کے ذرّوں سے ہیں شرمندہ ستارے

اس خاک میں پوشیدہ ہے وہ صاحبِ اسرار

گردن نہ جھکی جس کی جہانگیر کے آگے

جس کے نفسِ گرم سے ہے گرمیِ احرار

وہ ہند میں سرمایہء ملّت کا نگہباں

اللہ نے بروقت کیا جس کو خبردار

کی عرض یہ مَیں نے کہ عطا فقر ہو مجھ کو

آنکھیں میری بینا ہیں، ولیکن نہیں بیدار!

Day 3.

Standing in awe at the feet of the Mujaddid, the beat of millions of hearts, the master of Sunnis in Bareilly shareef, Sayyidi Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza رحمه الله تعالى. Fajr time spent at Sadrul Afadil Sayyid Naeemuddin Muradabadi’s resting place at Jamia Naeemiya. Thereafter, we visited Jamia Qadiriyya Richha to address ulama and students.

Day 4.

Spent the morning and afternoon at Jamia Razavia Manzar e Islam Bareilly Shareef for the Khatm of Sahihul Bukhari in which I was invited as the main guest speaker Alhamdulillah. Hundreds of Ulama and students were in attendance. Thereafter we visited the Rauza Mubarak of Sayyidi Alahazrat’s blessed father, grandfather, mother and brother Mawlana Hasan Raza رحمهم الله تعالى. \240Long evening in meetings ahead. \240Humbly standing at the feet of the greatest Allamah of his time, Hazrat Mufti Naqi Ali Khan.

Day 5.

Travelled from Bareilly Shareef to Badaun. Visited mausoleums of the family of caliph Sayyiduna Uthman Allah be pleased with him; the prominent family of Allamah Fadl al-Rasool Badayuni. By chance, we arrived on the annual urs of Hazrat Muhibb al-Rasool Abdul Qadir Badayuni. On route, we visited the shrine of our great grand shaykh Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Chishti Mahboob e Ilahi’s father and grandfather and the former’s birthplace (below) رحمهم الله تعالى. We passed through Ujhani too, the birthplace of Hakeemul Ummah Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi.

Day 5

continued. In the dargah of Sayyidi Shah Fadlul Rasool Badayuni and Sayyidi Muhibb al-Rasool Badayuni, his grandfather and children from the family of Sayyiduna Uthman Allah be pleased with him. Imam Ahmad Raza was heavily influenced by these two ulama; by their defence of the Sunni creed and refutation of the Ismaili Wahhabi fitnah. Our Imam spent 25 years in the company of Muhibbe Rasool and he was the person who took our Imam to Marehra for bay’at. Sayyidi Imam wrote poems like Chiragh e Uns and Qaseedatan Raiataan in their lofty praise. \240Coincidently, we arrived on the day of Muhibbe Rasool’s Urs Mubarak 17 Jumada al-Ula رضي الله عنهم . Alahazrat praises him with the following words,

اے امام الہدی محب رسول

دین کے پیشوا محب رسول

اے کرم کی گھٹا محب رسول

اپنی بارش بڑھا محب رسول

تیری نعمت کا شکر کیا کیجئے

تجھ سے کیا کیا ملا محب رسول

تجھ پہ فضل رسول کا سایہ

مجھ پہ سایہ ترا محب رسول

خلد میں زیر ظل غوث کریم

رہیں یکجا رضا محب رسول

Day 5

continued.

Sitting in the presence of the 6th Qutb of Marehra Shareef, our grand master in the Qadiri silsilah, the spiritual Murshid of Sayyidi Imam Ahmad Raza and student of Imamul Hadith Shah Abdul Azeez al-Muhaddith al-Dihlavi; Khatimul Akabir Al-Sayyid Aal e Rasool Marehrawi رحمه الله تعالى.

This is the room in which Sayyidi Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza and his blessed father رحمهما الله تعالى pledged allegiance in the Qadiri path on the hands of their Shaykh, the 6th promised Qutb, al-Sayyid Aal e Rasool in Marehra Shareef. It is narrated in the Tarikh of Khandan e Barakat that Sayyiduna Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani gave 7 beads to BuAli Shah Qalandar indicating there will be 7 qutbs in this family. These beads are among the relics of Marehra Shareef.

A beggar inside the blessed chamber of the 7th promised Qutb, Sayyidi Shah Abul Hussain Noori Mian رحمه الله تعالى where Sayyidi Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza would study with him and meet him at Marehra Shareef. This is also where Huzur Mufti e Azam Hind Shah Mustafa Raza would always visit his murshid. This room holds secrets of the Qadiri Qutubs and Hussaini Sayyids of Marehra; the coolness of their grandmother Sayyida Fatima’s eyes رضي الله عنها.

Day 6.

Beggar at the door of Sultan al-Awliya, Hindul Waliyy al-Sayyid Mueen al-Din Hasan Sanjari Ajmeri ‘Khawaja Gharib Nawaz’ Allah Almighty sanctify His noble secret. He was the key that unlocked the land of India for the Muslims and was sent here on the spiritual orders of al-Gawth al-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani. We arrived here at Fajr time after visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra. Had the honour of completing the Quran recitation at this door and seeing rare relics and gifts given by kings and rulers. Visited the Ajmer madrasah in which Sadrusharia Amjad Ali Azmi used to teach and the exact location where Alahazrat Imam Ahmad Raza would stand and pray as it is the place of acceptance in Ajmer shareef رحمهم الله تعالى.

Day 7.

Attended the powerful Dargah of Makhdoom ul Mashayikh al-Sayyid Sultan Ashraf Jahangir Samnani \240(d.1386CE) at Kichaucha Shareef and the Awliya Masjid where many miracles have been witnessed over hundreds of years. We also visited surrounding shrines of the awliya including Sayyid Ali Hussain Ashrafi Mian and Muhaddith e Azam Hind Sayyid Muhammad رضي الله عنهم. We were fortunate to visit the Jamia Ashraf manuscript library and the relics of the Ashrafi family. Important issues were discussed with senior ulama.

Day 7

continued. Visited the manuscript library of Jamia Ashraf in Kichaucha shareef and saw the original handwritten Arabic commentary of Shamail al-Tirmidhi by our master Shaykh Abdul Haq al-Muhaddith al-Dihlavi rahimahullah. Also saw the unpublished handwritten Fatwa collection of Sarkar e Kalan Sayyid Mukhtar Ashraf rahimahullah with endorsements by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi rahimahullah.

Day 7

continued. Visited Dar al-Ulum Amjadiyyah Ghosi and the blessed shrine of Sadrushariah Allamah Amjad Ali Azmi rahimahullah in the evening. Below is the blessed resting place of their honourable wife \240who was a waliyyah and a scholar of fiqh. Sadrushariah would ask her to review his fiqh manuscript, Bahar e Shariat, every day and she memorised it by heart. She educated her daughters who became the leading female scholars of the recent past in India. The grave outside is of one of the blessed daughters who fully studied the alim programme; Alimah Shaykha Saeedah Khatoon (d.1963CE). One of them is alive today and used to teach Hadith. We also had the honour of meeting Muhaddith e Kabeer Allama Ziya ul Mustafa hh at their residence.

Day 8.

Stayed the night at al-Jamiat al-Ashrafia Mubarakpur, perhaps the largest and most productive Sunni university in India. It was founded by Hafiz al-Millat Allamah Abdul Azeez rahimahullah, a top rank scholar and waliyullah resting under the green dome (below). Spent the morning visiting resident scholars including the most senior Allamah Ahmad Misbahi, Mawlana Abdul Hafeez Chairperson of Ashrafia, Mufti Shamsul Huda, Allamah Sadrul Wara Misbahi, Allamah Nafees Misbahi etc. Scholars gave a warm reception and many important discussions took place. Day 8

continued. Reception at Al-Jamiat al-Ashrafia Mubarakpur by senior ulama and teachers for this unworthy faqeer. Important ideas were exchanged and current projects were discussed. Several Ilmi discussions took place around the Majlis e Shari council resolutions. May our Ashrafia forever flourish. May the ulama of Ashrafia be blessed with health, long and productive lives. Among these are top scholars of Hadith, Tafseer, Arabic and masters of fiqh and kalam. This institute has set a high standard of education, learning, publishing, fatwa and da’wa. This institute has by far produced some of the greatest sunni fuqaha, muhadditheen and scholars in India including Bahrul Ulum Abdul Mannan Azami, Allamah Abdul Rauf Balyawi, \240Sharih Bukhari Shareeful Haq Amjadi, Allamah Ziyaul Mustafa Azmi, Shaykhul Islam Madani Mia, Allama Arshadul Qadiri, Allama Qamaruzzaman Azmi, Allamah Badrul Qadiri, etc. In the pictures below: Allamah Abdul Hafeez Azizi, Allamah Sadrul Wara Misbahi, Allamah Nafees Misbahi, Mufti Shamsul Huda Misbahi, Mawlana Zahid Salami hh and Mawlana Muhsin sahib.

Day 8 continued. Visited the resting places of Bahrul Ulum Abdul Mannan Azami (right) and Allamah Abdul Rauf Balyawi (left), Allah shower mercy and light on them both. They edited the earliest manuscripts of Fatawa Razawiyyah and produced a league of top ranking scholars for the ummah. The multi volume Fatawa Bahrul Ulum is an ocean of knowledge and a huge blessing for the ummah.

Day 9.

Travelled to Dayadra Gujrat from Surat to the home of my dear and beloved brother Mawlana Muhsin Misbahi sahib Qiblah hafizahullah who has been a wonderful companion in my tour of India. We visited Darul Ulum Noor e Muhammadi where we were warmly received by the students and teachers. We prayed Fatiha for the martyred students who passed away in a tragic train crash. I delivered a short speech on the purpose of knowledge and education and thereafter gave a short Hadith lesson to the final year Dora Hadith students. In the evening, I was scheduled to speak on Sayyidi Hujjatul Islam Hamid Raza Khan at the elegant Mukhtarul Masajid of Dayadara and met with scholars, teachers and the lovely locals. Mawlana Muhsin sahib had prepared a fine evening feast for all guests that visited.

Day 10.

We arrived in Mumbai from Bharuch Gujrat and visited the Qutb of Kokan Sayyidi Shaykh Makhdoom Ali Muhaimi d.1431CE who was a major Sufi alim and person of miracles. He authored one of the earliest Arabic tafsirs known in India and commented on the works of Ibn Arabi. He left several writings in various sciences and gained high respect in the writings of Sayyidi Alahazrat and scholars like Shah Waliyullah Dihlawi. Huzur Tajushariah rahimahullah would never miss visiting this shrine. We visited the Dargah of Haji Ali too on the ocean and other historic sights in the city including the Gate of India. We spent the morning in the excellent company of the prolific author Dr Gulam Jabir Shams hh.
