We arrrived at the airport and easily checked in, my family & Daniels Dad were at the airport so we shared KFC together - last meal in NZ (super healthy!). There was quite a few tears she’d saying goodbye to my family, going to miss them all so much - Melissa held her shit together but as soon as we walked through that international gate she burst into tears, I knew she’d miss me but I guess it was just waiting for reality to set in for her that I’m gone for a while now haha

Our first flight to Sydney was not bad, Qantas had iPads for entertainment which was different! Technology is sure changing for the better!! We had a fish curry for food - not great and I defs wouldn’t recommend it (hence I left 95% of mine) but then they handed out choc bar ice creams, so I was happy again 😊

When we landed in Sydney we were both feeling tired and bored, but the 2 hour wait went pretty quickly and we soon boarded Emirates to go to Bangkok!

Emirates (as always) had such good service and we had a whole row to ourselves (score!) which, meant we could lie down for sleep!! They were serving a chicken korma and a braised lamb... since I’d already had one fail of a curry today I didn’t want to risk another, so I had the lamb and it came with roast veggies, a dinner roll, a smoked salmon side salad, cheese/crackers & a orange tart thing - safe to say I was happy! I ate my dinner and watched “Peter Rabbit” and as soon as the movie finished I fell asleep, Daniel didn’t sleep quite as well as I did - guess that’s the problem when you have long legs..

When we landed in Bangkok as soon as we stepped off the plane we could feel the humidity - my feet were already swollen from the flight so I was pretty keen to get through customs as quick as we could. I got through pretty easily but Daniel got a few extra questions asked around why he’d got the multiple entry visa... while he was held up I went and got the bags, and it wasn’t long till we were wandering our way through the airport to the taxi rink & jumped in one to get us to our airb&b.

Our accomodation is nice, it’s not great but we knew it wouldn’t be - but it’s clean and tidy and that’s all we need. After a quick shower we jumped into bed for a much needed sleep to start our adventuring tomorrow!!
