Galleria dell'Italia

Amazing gallery, only 5 euro entry (3 euros for a student)

Make this your first stop and then stroll up via Brera to explore the oh so stylish Brera district.

Brera

Don't miss Pattini a glorious pasticeria (bakery) - great for a snack, cornetti looked amazing. Had a (actually 2..) delicious ricotta and chocolate mini cakes. Aperitivo also looks good (traditionally italian).

Memory... It was here I sat outside under my umbrella and I watched the rain fall. A middle aged Italian man sat next to me under his umbrella for a smoke. We had a lovely chat - he is a painter with a studio around the corner and has a boat in Croatia. He said he loves aboriginal art and told me the Italian word for dot paintings which I cant remember. He also told me the rain would only last 30 mins (as a sailor he said he could read the sky). Sounds ridiculous but this moment was very special and I wouldn't have experienced it if I wasn't alone.

Mercatone dell'anquariato, Navigli

INCREDIBLE antique market lined along Navigli grande. Designer clothes, accessories, trinkets, furniture etc etc... something for everyone!

Every 3rd Sunday of the month. I spent 4 hours there and bought a vintage YSL bag, some champagne glasses and a vase. Not to be missed!
