Our last stop in Utah was Moab! I’ve heard so much about this area and was not disappointed. We missed the reopening of Arches National Park by a week (which was disappointing!) but just means I have to return some day!

Our home for a week

Jackson has managed to go through several tire tubes! Jason finally found the issue - multiple thorns in his tire!

She wanted to do “her work” like I do!

Pool was gorgeous with the back drop of mountains and red rock

He studies and I work - love that we can spend this time together

More restaurants are opening up - we visited the Moab Brewery and kids enjoyed their root beer floats

J and the kids found a music park to spend time at one afternoon

Since Arches NP was closed, I found this hike close by to Corona and Bow Tie Arches

Trail takes you over these train tracks enclosed by red rock walls

Starting out

View from beginning of hike

This hike was the most technical one we’ve done so far - it included inclines and climbing rocks

Long flat stretches

Cables

Ladder climb

Which took us to Corona Arch

And Bow Tie Arch

Heading back down

This was Jackson’s favorite hike!

Later that day, we took another hike to a local swimming area

We had to cross a river five times to get to the swimming area

Less of a swimming area and more of a place for jumping and hanging out

Cooling off

This was a super fun place to explore with the locals

Our final day in Moab and we headed to Dead Horse State Park - the Colorado River once again has cut through this land leaving horseshoe bends

View of the canyon

The blue pools in the distance pull water from deep underground and are for evaporating the water leaving salt used for agriculture products
