Busy day!

We met our tour guide at 830 am to set out for the day. First stop, the beautiful Lake Bled. We took a boat to the island and toured the castle. There were great views from the castle and we bought Slovenian wine.

Plitvice bound!

We got on the GoOpti thAt picked us up from the air B and B at 5am and took us to Zagreb bus station. We didn’t have a lot of time in the capital so we stayed close to the station and practiced our Croatian at a local market. From there we boarded the bus to the park.

Relaxing Day!!

We woke up and got some coffee, and met the girl in the shop, Anitca! Super smart and nice and helpful.

We went back and met the crew to head out for the day. Ate pork from the market by the Riva. Then we broke up a bit to shop the markets of Split. Found some back roads that had a more local feel. Split is the second most populated city in Croatia. Got some REAL cheap wine in jugs added berries from the market. Took a shot of tequila from Tim from Detroit at To Je Tako. Went up the bell tower with our wine. Bought bread and salami and Parmesan and olive oil and more salami and Procciutto from the market. We went back to the apartment for our feast, played LRC on the Patio with some more drinks, and took a brief nap.

Mostar with zoran! I LOVE Bosnia and Herzegovina, the food, the people... I wish I could have seen more.

Stopped first at Medugarji? Where 6 kids saw an apperition of Mary on a hill. A weird little town selling a lot of rosaries and religious memorabilia. We sat and had espresso and waited for the others to look around.

Mostar was beautiful, a turkis feel, a river running through a town with a convergence of religion and culture, Muslim and Christian. Orthodox.

We first ate at a restaraunt called cobblestone in Bosnian. We shared platters of stuffed peppers, grape leaves, capaci, and had Bosnian wine and beer. All so good.

Next we shopped in the market for Bosnian coffee sets, lamps, and brass Everything.. until the sky opened up and poured on us. I wanted to find a ring there but the rain and lightning made it rough to do much of anything. We took cover for a beer before we had to make it back to the van.

Zoran stopped for Bosnian Coffee and baklava on the way home.

Last Day :(

Woke up and shopped Dubrovnik separately

Bougnt a ring to wear for work for 210 USD, 18k gold with Mediterranean coral.
