We are currently in Hiawassee, GA. We have been here since July 23 and we be here until at least Sept.1.

Since we have a hole in the front of the RV, we are trying to line up an appt to get it fixed in Tishomingo, MS on our way home.

Today, has been one of our off (lazy days). Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays we at least go out to eat and sometimes we take short day trips on these days.

Yesterday, we went to Clayton,GA and ate at “The Rusty Bike Cafe”. Afterwards we went to Dillard, GA and then drove on into Highlands, NC which is supposed to be one of the coolest locations in the south during the summer months. It was 69 degrees there in the middle of the day but it was also raining. No campgrounds in Highlands. But we did pass a few in Clayton and Dillard that we may look at in the future. We really liked Willow Valley RV Resort in Clayton. Looks like good shopping and interesting things to do in this area and it would be a new area to spend some time in North GA.

It rained just about the whole time we were gone. Hoping to go back to this area another day when the weather will be better!
