Good Bye Canada

Hello ‘Merica

Left Canada early on the 25th of October and headed to Atlanta. It was an all day journey. That night in Atlanta we go in very late and ordered a feast of deep friend Uber Eats.

It arrived around midnight. Our feet were tired from walking around airports all day.

Exhausted and finally well fed we slept in at the Marriott Atlanta Airport hotel. The next day we are headed out to Houston and then Dallas.

Atlanta

The day of delays.

I sneezed on the bus to the airport. The whole bus said “Bless you”. That’s how you know you are in Georgia.

This was supposed to be a quick easy trip to Dallas. We arrived back at the Atlanta airport to wait for our flight to Houston and the on to Dallas. I had thought it would be a quick trip. I was wrong.

In the Atlanta airport they were training dogs right beside us. It was amazing to watch the new pups sniff out scents. We are nachos and waited. The airport security had several signs reminding ppl to check their bags for guns. Ahhh America.

We got to Houston no problem but once there the delays began. The airline was having trouble finding pilots to work. Everywhere is short staffed it seems.

We eat some more and wait. Our flight is delayed a few more times. Then we get on the plane...but there is no first officer available so they deplane us.

We get sent to another flight to Dallas which has room. After more waiting we are finally on our way at 8:30pm. We were supposed to arrive in Dallas at 6. Thankfully we have good friends nearby to pick us up.

We have arrived and finally some rest.

I’ve never been so happy to just put my bags down and take my shoes off. Joy picked us up at the airport with Chick-fil-a in hand. She was so kind to drive us to the store to pick up a few things and then drop us off at the Ranch where we are staying.

We are staying on a 160 acre ranch just outside Dallas. It’s very peaceful and restful.

I sat on the porch and listen to the wind and crickets.

Cedar Hill

Went to town today to get a few things and ate amazing Mexican food at a place called Campuzanos in Ceder Hill. Penny ate until she was so full that she complained.

Stopped at the local Walmart and had total culture shock. We were the only white ppl in there. Definitely felt out of sorts this day. A whole lot of “what are we doing here!?” thought are in our heads.

Had a lovely Dinner at Joy and Jeremys house. The kids played video games while we talked.

Joy made delicious lentil soup and beef brisket.

Long Walks on the ranch.

Arlington

Took a drive to a small town down the road. It looks very much like Alberta here but much warmer.

Met a lovely lady named Cheryl. She’s an ex Mennonite who lives Torah now. She has some experience with deliverance as well. We got along amazing.

Penny even played catch with Hosea. That’s quite an occurrence.
