Hello everyone! \240Welcome to our Tremblay’s Ontario Adventure 2022 site. Michelle and I will both post images and updates here as we make our way around Ontario through July and August.
Site will expire in September/October (we have to pay a monthly fee) so if you see any pics, etc you like I believe you can save them. \240No charge to you 8-)
Looking forward to seeing some of you along the way! Here’s some pics from just before we left!
Love,
Devin, Michelle, Ella, and Ollie
(and Leo and Raja)

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa! \240Happy Canada Day! Ella performing at the park. \240
And we are off! \240It has been a long time coming that somehow snuck up on us! \240Somehow we managed to get the trailer in road ready shape and get packed and on the road Friday July 8th.
Side Note: \240Packing wasn’t without incedent. This is what happens when a swing arm falls directly on your big toe! \240This happened Thursday night while connecting the trailer to the car. \240Friday I dropped a pipe on it again cause, why not. \240Typical Devin. I was buckled over in pain while the mailman walked by me in the driveway 😂 thought I was going to throw up it hurt so much.
We pushed through and still got out Friday, arriving at our first stop around 8 pm Friday night.
Note to self: wear steel toe flip flops next time.
Meet Moe. He’s the fifth passenger on our trip. \240More on him later. \240
We have arrived at our first stop. \2406 days at KOA Ivy Lea. We are in the 1000 Islands area of the St. Lawrence River. \240Closest big city is Kingston, Ontario.
Gananoque is the closest little village. \240Managed to get the trailer hooked up with electrical, water, and sewer. Nice to be able to shower in the trailer. \240Most of our stays won’t have a water hookup though. All will have electricity 👍 We aren’t ruffin’ it. \240
Remember Moe? \240Went to the emergency care center in Kingston Ontario Saturday morn. \240Found out he’s broken straight through. Luckily bones are still where they need to be to heal properly. \240Just a matter of giving it time. \240They gave me an air cast and some crutches. The boot cast is great and allows me to get around fairly well. \240 Just no biking or swimming for a bit.
While Devin went off to get Moe checked out Ella and Ollie wanted to see/do everything. We went to the playground, jumping pillow, rock mining, went swimming, rode four wheel bikes, played Bingo, made a fire and had delicious pie iron treats. By the end of the day it felt like three.
After experiencing most of the amenities on the first day, the second day was a bit more relaxed. We did some jumping, swimming, gaming and relaxing.
First two nights while folks went to sleep early I sat outside the trailer with this guy. \240He would get real close and then I’d move (not wanting to be eaten) and he’d scurrry up a tree and hang out watching Moe and I. \240
Pedro
Bonus points for whoever can identify the location of the profile picture with the rainbow. \240Hint: Most of you have been there….
3 hour boat tour of 1000 islands.
More jumping!
Some more pics of 1000 island tour on the St. Lawrence River with lunch at Maverick’s in Gananoque.
Intense game of Monopoly this morn! \240Ollie and I called a draw with a thunderstorm rolling in.
Michelle out 8-(
Thunderstorm! \240Time to relax and get cozy. \240
Instant tie die! \240Need to try this next time. They dip in vinegar at the end and you get to see your short right away (vs letting it sit in a bag for 8-10 hours). Update: after washing the colour faded allot. \240Best to do the 10 hour method. \240
Rockets! \240This was fun. \240Construction paper, tape, foam nose cone, air compressor = magic.
Hard to find but we managed to spot the elusive Great Canadian WiFi Maple 🍁 tree. \240The future of trees. \240
We are spoiled here. \240Water, electricity, and poop shoot hook ups!
Rocket making
Ice cream eating.
Chipmunk friending
Rocket shooting
Ping ponging 😁
At Sandbanks Provincial Park today in Prince Edward County. \240No WiFi trees so pics and videos will come later 8-). \240May be out of range for posting for a few days. \240
Added some new pics and videos from KOA 1000 Islands while on our drive though. If you checked earlier than today there will be newer ones added to go back and see. \240
Good bye 1000 Islands Ivy Lea KOA!
Hello Sandbanks provincial park!
Hello Toronto! Wait! What? Ella and I took a detour to attend cirque. A couple loads of laundry, a quick shower,, some time with Leo and Raja, a quick stop at the grocery store and 10 hours later we were back at Sandbanks.
Michelle and Ella drove back to Mississauga today for a Cirque class. \240Oliie and I explored the bike trails, beach, and ate some treats at the local chip stand. Also fed the local chip munks! Some cool videos of that to come. \240
Fun in the sun! \240Outlet Beach at Sandbanks Provincial Park (Lake Ontario).
Our Sankbanks site.
Lunch and cards at Prince Eddie’s Brewery in Picton. \240Cute little town! \240
Quick stop at Slake Brewery and lookout point on a farm outside of Picton. \240
Looking for birds at Long Point! Listed in Ollie’s bird book as one of the good sites in Ontario. \240We were a bit out of season though. \240Best during migration seasons. \240
Last day at Sandbanks. \240Started off with sleeping in late 8-). \240Then biked our way just outside the park for lunch and mini put at a great little spot with delicious wood oven pizza and soft serve ice cream. \240
We booted around the park and checked out the other beaches. \240The Dunes was a neat landscape separating Lake Ontario from another lake. \240Not as great for swimming but was fun to climb the sand dunes. \240Super hot. Then we dipped our toes in the water at the Lakeside Beach. \240Good one for swimming and sunsets. \240
Our facourite ended up being Outlet beach which we went to most of the time. \240
Lakeside beach. \240
The Dunes.
After a brief stop at the trailer for some burgers we loaded up the paddle boards and went to Outlet beach to watch the sunset on our last night here. \240Headed back to Mississauga for 4 days tomorrow. \240

We have arrived at Pancake Bay Provincial Park! \240Beautiful drive. \240Lots of hills with great panoramic views along the way. Amazing part of the province. Can’t believe we haven’t come here before! Excited to explore Lake Superior and the area. \240
Set up our campsite getting ready for rain all day tomorrow 😢. Not a great site this time. \240Corner lot so not allot of privacy or trees. \240That’s ok. \240The beaches and trails are all around us. \240
Got some beach time in already though.
Rainy day today. \240Had a lazy morning and did some photo crafts this aft. \240Getting our photo collage going!
Fun at the beach at Pancake Bay. The water in Lake Superior is so cold!
Arrived at Agawa Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park off highway 17 between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa. \240
Largest Sturgeon, on record, pulled from Lake Superior compared to Ollie 8-)
“Tremblay morning” (10:30 am) on the beach. Power went out for 12 hours so it was a rough night. \240No heat, fan noise, or CPAP. \240Was great to listen to the waves and the storm while awake all night though 😄
First campsite almost on the beach. \24030 second walk. Nice to not have to load up the car to head to the beach!
Still waking up. \240Coffee in hand. \240
We went to Wawa! Also visited High Point Falls outside of Wawa.
Lake Superior Provicial Park \240is huge! 1 hour to drive through it at 100km/hour \240on the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy. 17).
Amazing landscape. \240Lots of history here. \240Final piece of the highway crossing all of Canada. \240Hard to believe they carved a highway through this landscap. \240
Only place we’ve been other than the Axe Lake area that is so untouched with very little around for 100 km. \240 Highly recommend the drive from Sault Ste. Marie to Wawa. \240So amazing.
New little friend and a bike ride through the trails to the other end of Agawa Bay. \240
Our site is straight across the water. \240

R & R and more treasure hunting back at the campsite in Grundy Lake Provincial Park. Finally making money with the metal detecting. \240We found 15 cents on the site! One dime and 5 pennies. \240One is a U.S. penny so maybe 15.3 cents!
Spent the last day at the beach and playing on Slippery Rock at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. \240
Ended up packing that evening and getting home around 11 pm. \240Next two days called for rain so we got out!
