Boo roads!
After finally making it to Walla Walla, met up with J & L and we headed off to Balboa for my first wine tasting. We had a great drive there with an old dude driving the wrong way on a one way and trying to kill us. Yikes! The tasting room was nice but the best part were all the winery dogs. Good puppy lovin’ was had. The wine was good but not mind blowing. Next up was Va Piano, and it was yummo! Preferred their wine over Balboa but J&L were opposite, regardless both were great stops.
After freshening up at the hotel...ok not really, more so just dropping off the car. We made it to one last tasting room downtown, Charles Smith. Cool vibe, not great wine. Still I bought a bottle because it was $12.
This was my attempt to fit in and \240be more hipster while tasting wine.
Finished off the night with dinner at T. Maccarones. The papardelle with bolognese was fan-freaking-tastic, but overall a bit spendy for everything. Appetizers left a bit to be desired.
