From our 2013 TC Teardrop to our 2015 Roadtrek Adventurous. \240We are so excited to have a vehicle we can stand up in, sit down to eat and get out of the rain. \240While camping in our teardrop we were known as the rain magnets. \240Hope that stigma goes away now that we have warmer shelter from bad weather. \240

Today we drove to Green Bay and picked up our new to us 2015 Roadtrek Adventurous RS motorhome. \240Jim and Jeanne Rhea showed us again how to use all the bells and whistles as well as many tips for the road. We loaded up the seats and covers and we were on our way. Babs drove it home with Tom following behind in the Volvo. Tom thinks that it’s new name should be “Looney Bin”. We love loons but he also has insinuated that there may be an additional reason for that name???

After dinner we went out to the camper to check out some of the storage spaces and see where we thought some of our things may fit or NOT fit as we are finding out. It will be fun to put it all together and then perfect it as we camp and get used to the bigger camper. It will be much different than camping in our TC teardrop camper but we are so excited to start our new adventure in our new motorhome.

Today we worked at getting to know our new camper . \240We measured shelves and drawers as well as took some of our camping gear out to see how it might fit in just the right spot. \240We were going to make the bed but the gel mattress topper was too cold to unroll so needed to bring it into the house to warm up before we could put on the new duvet. \240It will be a challenge to find just the right place for everything we need to bring along. \240We need an attitude adjustment when it come to camping in only one vehicle. \240Take just what is needed “less is more”. \240Every thing will have its place and we don’t need any extra items. \240We can see now it won’t take long to fill those cupboards up fast. We added a big splash of color with my mariner compass quilt that will look great with every color we choose to accent with.

We did have some great times in our teardrop. We are really looking forward to our new adventures. \240Snow and rain will be easier in the new rig. \240She did not like the snow the first night we brought her home. \240Tom has named her “Looney Bin”. \240We have been traveling in and out of the RT to see what would fit and not fit in the cupboards or trunk. \240It will be so fun when we get to fill the van and take off on our new adventures. \240

The Frame family bought our teardrop and today they came and picked it up. It is so good to see that it will be going to a family that will love it as much as we did. \240Was a bittersweet sight to see it drive out of the driveway fir the last time. \240
