Tenzing Norgay was an Indian and Nepali Sherpa mountaineer.
He is famously known as one of the very first two individuals to reach the summit of Mount Everest the highest point on earth on May 29, 1953.

• Since 1922 – present 282 people have died trying to climb Mt. Everest
